𝑮𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒐 (𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒐): 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝒊 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒊, 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒂 𝒊𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒑𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒆.
Primo bilancio dell’Hellas Verona dell’era Presidio.
In bilancio, stessa tensione narrativa.
𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨 𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐨: 𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐨, 𝐜𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚
Stesso testo dell’anno scorso, stessa formula. Unico cambiamento: trova “Star Ball”, sostituisci con “Presidio Investors”. Viva il pacchetto Office.
𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐢: 𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐞
I ricavi complessivi scendono a Euro 101,6 milioni (erano 115 l’anno prima).
Diritti TV, sponsor e botteghino
• Diritti televisivi: Euro 33,4 milioni (in calo di quasi 5 milioni)
• Sponsorizzazioni: Euro 11,5 milioni (+0,2)
• Ricavi da gare: Euro 5,6 milioni (stabili)
• Merchandising: Euro 2,1 milioni (in lieve crescita)
Buone notizie? Poche. E comunque insufficienti a cambiare la fotografia generale.
𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢: 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐚, 𝐦𝐚 𝐧𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐚
• tesserati in calo a Euro 37,7 milioni (-3,3 milioni)
I crediti verso altre società arrivano a Euro 77 milioni.
𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞
Nota positiva: compensi dell’organo amministrativo ridotti a 444 mila euro.
Dai fasti dell’era Setti alla sobrietà attuale. Meglio tardi che mai.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞: 𝐬𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐞

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝐎𝐧𝐞): 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬
The first financial statements of Hellas Verona under the Presidio era are now available. And the debut is far from a standing ovation: a net loss of €4.7 million, negative shareholders’ equity of €7 million, and net financial debt of €89.3 million.
A change in ownership should mark a clear break with the past. Instead, judging by the numbers, it feels like we are still comfortably seated on the last sofa of the Setti era.
A necessary premise: these figures refer to the financial statements as of 30 June 2025, a season that began under Setti and continued, from mid-January onward, under Presidio’s ownership. Half a season each, yet the outcome is fully bipartisan: a business model still standing almost exclusively on accounting capital gains.
On the pitch, the 2024–2025 season was a thriller: survival secured on the very last matchday. In the accounts, the same level of tension applies.
𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲: 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞
As of 30 June 2025, shareholders’ equity stands at minus €7 million. No need to worry, though: the Management Report provides the usual semantic safety net.
It states that, after the end of the financial year, the July–August 2025 transfer window generated €20.5 million in capital gains.
Translation: Hellas Verona’s financial year lasts 12 months, but it consistently needs 14 to balance.
A now-automatic copy-and-paste exercise. The signatures change; the storyline does not.
𝐆𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧: 𝐜𝐨𝐩𝐲, 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞
From a financial standpoint, the shareholder Presidio Investors HV Calcio Sàrl has “irrevocably” confirmed its commitment to support the club for the next 12 months.
Same wording as last year. Same formula.
The only difference: find “Star Ball”, replace with “Presidio Investors”. Long live Microsoft Office.
𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐬: 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞, 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬
Total revenues declined to €101.6 million (down from €115 million the previous year).
Once again, the dominant component is capital gains: €31.6 million, plus €9.5 million from other player-related income.
Main transactions:
• Coppola: €11 million (perfect timing, booked before 30 June)
• Cabal: €9.5 million
• Belahyane: €8.9 million
• Dani Silva: €1.7 million
From these figures, €7.6 million must be deducted for solidarity contributions, agents’ fees and transfer-related compensation.
The pattern remains unchanged: players are sold to breathe, not to grow.
Broadcasting, sponsorships and matchday
• Broadcasting rights: €33.4 million (almost €5 million less year-on-year)
• Sponsorship revenues: €11.5 million (+€0.2 million)
• Matchday revenues: €5.6 million (stable)
• Merchandising: €2.1 million (slight increase)
Good news? Very limited. And certainly not enough to change the overall picture.
𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐬: 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡
Personnel costs remain broadly stable at €43 million.
Breaking it down:
• Player wages down to €37.7 million (-€3.3 million)
• Other staff costs up by €3 million
Something clearly happened behind the desks, more than in the dressing room.
Service costs increased sharply, from €11.8 million to €16.8 million, mainly due to consultancy fees linked to transfers and contract renewals (€6.2 million).
Then, the usual sore point: impairments of €4.3 million, including:
• Lasagna: €1.6 million (a very hard pill to swallow)
• Henry: €1.3 million
𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭: 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞
The book value of the squad as of 30 June 2025 stands at €27 million.
The heaviest assets on the balance sheet include Serdar, Sarr, Niasse and Tchatchoua.
Receivables from other clubs amount to €77 million.
Players are sold, but cash is collected very slowly. Some of them are already wearing their third different jersey, while Verona is still waiting for the wire transfers.
Meanwhile, financial debt remains stuck at nearly €90 million, plus:
• €11 million in tax liabilities
• €5.2 million owed to employees
• €22.5 million owed to other football clubs
𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐭
One positive note: board remuneration has been reduced to €444,000.
From the excesses of the Setti era to the current sobriety. Better late than never.
𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞
The real issue remains the structural imbalance between receivables, debt and the absence of fresh equity, which one would reasonably expect following a change of ownership.
Sean Sogliano’s capital gains continue to work miracles (Giovane and Cissé are recent examples), but Hellas Verona never truly strengthens. The squad is rebuilt every six months, always at the last minute, always under pressure.
This is a model that works only as long as it holds — not a day longer.
The risk is that, suddenly, it may stop working altogether.
And Serie B does not wait.
And it is worth reminding Presidio, just as it was once reminded to Setti, with the timeless words of 𝑹𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒐 𝑷𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒓𝒐:
“𝑯𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒔 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒔𝒐 𝒂 𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚.”
