As medical doctors who have personally overcome thyroid disease, we've dedicated our lives to helping others navigate similar health challenges. Our medical journey began in Italy, where we earned our medical degrees and further specialized in Functional Medicine, with an emphasis on hormonal and thyroid health, earning our certification from the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Our journe

y did not stop there, as we are currently furthering our expertise by by pursuing a degree in diabetology at Tor Vergata University & Hospital in Rome. This combination of diverse training and specialization underscores our commitment to providing comprehensive and advanced medical care to our patients. We're proud to say that we've established the largest social media community worldwide for thyroid health, currently connecting and providing resources to over 2 million followers. Functional Medicine is a systems-oriented model that sees patients as whole individuals, not just a collection of symptoms. It's a personalized approach that enables us and our patients to collaboratively address the root causes of disease, promoting an optimal state of health. We don't just treat or give medications, we build strong partnerships a with our patients. We're committed to providing care that addresses both psychological well-being and physical health. It's about more than just prescribing medication—it's about creating a supportive, healing environment. To date, we've successfully guided more than 10,000 women worldwide. We harness the power of diet, supplements, herbs, and root cause analysis to tailor treatments. This approach treats the individual, not just the condition, and we believe it's the future of medicine. Our practice is a journey of mutual learning and cooperation. We listen to our patients, learn from them, and collaborate to devise the most effective treatment plans. We firmly believe in treating patients as a team, with your well-being taking center stage. Our unique approach to thyroid pathology is shaped by our education and personal experiences. We're here to embark on this wellness journey with you. Learn more here: www.Bosswe.com

How to check if you have celiac disease

Start with a blood test: anti-tTG IgA together with total IgA. Keep eating gluten during the whole process, because cutting it out early can make the results falsely negative. If the antibodies come back positive, the next step is an endoscopy with small intestine biopsies to confirm the diagnosis. Your doctor guides the testing, not self-diagnosis.

Brazil nuts are the best source of selenium, the mineral that converts inactive T4 into active T3 and protects the thyroid from oxidative stress. One or two a day is plenty.

Oysters are loaded with zinc, which your body needs both to produce thyroid hormones and to turn them into their active form.

Eggs combine iodine, selenium, and tyrosine, the amino acid your thyroid hormones are literally built from.

Beef liver is a concentrated hit of vitamin A, iron, and zinc. Without enough iron, the enzyme that starts hormone production slows down, and so does your thyroid.

Sardines bring iodine, selenium, omega 3, and vitamin D together, supporting hormone production while calming inflammation.

A basic blood count isn’t enough. In the early stages of deficiency it can look completely normal while you feel awful.

The test that matters is ferritin, your body’s actual iron store. It shows the problem the earliest.

Here’s the trap. A lot of labs list the normal range starting at 15, but that’s far too low. If you have symptoms and your ferritin sits between 30 and 100, it can still be a deficiency.

For most people feeling their best, a level somewhere around 70 to 100 is a much better target than just scraping above the lab minimum.

Now how to actually fix it.

Oral iron works best every other day, in a single morning dose.

Which juices are good for you?

EYES: Leafy green vegetables
Rich in lutein and zeaxanthin, the two carotenoids that concentrate in the macula and filter blue light. Data from the AREDS2 trial link them to greater macular pigment density and better eye health.

BRAIN: Beetroot juice
Rich in dietary nitrates, which convert into nitric oxide and dilate blood vessels. This increases cerebral blood flow and supports cognitive performance in controlled studies.

LUNGS: Green tea
Contains anti-inflammatory catechins with modest observational links to better lung function. Note: no drink actually cleanses your lungs. The real work is done by quitting smoking.

LIVER: Coffee
Some of the strongest evidence in medicine on the link between diet and the liver: in large-scale studies it’s associated with lower liver enzymes, less fibrosis, and a reduced risk of cirrhosis and liver cancer.

KIDNEYS: Water
Adequate hydration dilutes urine and lowers the risk of kidney stones and infections. Plain water beats trendy alternatives and carries no potassium-related risks.

HEART: Hibiscus tea
Polyphenols with meta-analytic evidence for lowering blood pressure, without the sugar load of fruit juices.
