Oggi ho partecipato ad un bellissimo evento sulla traumatologia del calcio. Ho avuto l’onore di dibattere con il Prof. Mariani sul trattamento delle lesioni del LCA e sul ritorno allo sport. Ho visitato il Viola Park, una struttura incredibile dedicata a tutte le squadre della Fiorentina. Ho incontrato il mister Vanoli che avevo lasciato ai tempi della nazionale under 17. Infine ho goduto di una fantastica esperienza enogastronomica Toscana. Per tutto questo devo ringraziare di cuore l’amico per l’invito e l’accoglienza!!

Oggi ho avuto il piacere di ospitare Luca Farinelli nell’ambito del percorso SIOT academy in Traumatologia dello Sport. Abbiamo eseguito 4 interventi di ricostruzione/revisione del legamento crociato anteriore con varie tecniche e suture meniscali. Grazie SIOT Ortopedia per l’opportunità! Esska 2026 a Praga. Tre giorni di congresso con tutto il gruppo…. Un bellissimo momento di aggiornamento e condivisione. Sono molto orgoglioso dei contributi che abbiamo portato e mi sento di ringraziare tutti per il supporto quotidiano nell’attività clinica e di ricerca… mi sento una persona fortunata …. Grazie ragazzi ….

Another amazing achievement from our group: .alessandrocarrozzo We have just published on the results of primary ACL repair in a series of 120 consecutive patients treated since our first case in 2018.
The main takeaway? Patient selection and correct indications are the absolute keys to a successful surgery.
📈 Key findings from our study:
• Failure Rate: Overall failure rate was 10%. Patients who experienced failure were significantly younger (mean age 22.3 vs 32.9) and more active.
• Return to Sport (RTS): Achieved by 95.4% of patients (excluding failures), with 79.6% returning to their pre-injury or higher Tegner activity scale levels.
• Predictors of Success: Successful RTS was strongly associated with older age, lower side-to-side laxity, and higher ACL-RSI and KOOS scores.

Memories from ACL study group….. I had the pleasure to present our results of ACL reconstruction in very young patients with open physis, had 4 days of intense discussion with the major expert on ACL from all around the world and also a lot of fun…. A special thanks to my dear friend Helito for including me in the scientific commitee!!

Giornata speciale oggi in sala operatoria con Matteo e Aurora, due studenti del liceo scientifico Newton di Roma, in visita in ospedale nell’ambito del progetto PCTO (percorso per le conoscenze trasversali e l’orientamento) in collaborazione con . Complimenti per questa bellissima iniziativa e in bocca al lupo ai ragazzi, con la speranza che possano scegliere questo mestiere così gratificate….
