Dear Government of Jersey,
As a women’s health and fertility nutritionist, these are the 5 areas I’d prioritise over the next 4 years:
✔️ Preventative health education in schools
✔️ Better support for women with PCOS
✔️ Greater investment in fertility and preconception care
✔️ Affordable access to healthy food
✔️ Healthier food environments in public settings
Women’s health, fertility health and preventative healthcare deserve greater attention.
What would you add to the list? 👇

🎉 I DID IT! 🎉

🏆 As of yesterday I am officially a Registered Nutritionist (Public Health).

✨ And even crazier… I am now 1 of ONLY 2 Registered Nutritionists (Public Health) in Jersey.

📚 This wasn’t an exam I sat or a course I completed. It required years of work after my 3 degrees building a portfolio that demonstrated real-world impact through projects including designing and implementing a 3 year health and wellbeing strategy, creating and running my own nutrition programmes and delivering nutrition education in schools.

🛡️ Why does this matter? Because registration helps protect the public. While “wildly” anyone can call themselves a nutritionist becoming registered means meeting rigorous professional standards and demonstrating the knowledge, skills and experience needed to practise safely and effectively.

🚀 What makes this achievement particularly meaningful to me is that I didn’t take the traditional public health route. I wasn’t working within a government public health department. Instead I sought out opportunities, built my own projects, knocked on doors and created a pathway that aligned with my passion for women’s health and wellbeing.

🤍 A huge HUGE thank you to my incredible portfolio mentor Lucy Lucy Jackman | Paediatric Dietitian for guiding me throughout this journey.

👮‍♀️ Thank you to Alison Fossey and Chris Beechey at the States of Jersey Police for trusting me to lead evidence based health and wellbeing projects that became an important part of this portfolio.

🏥 And thank you to Dr Jessica Langtree-Marsh for giving me a place at the Women’s Health Hub | Jersey when it was just the 3 of us at Health Plus.

✨ This qualification feels like the culmination of years of hard work but more importantly it gives me an even bigger platform to create change in Jersey.

🗣️ Here’s to continuing to champion women’s health, fertility and public health across our island and beyond.

🍋 Sometimes the long road really is worth it.

✨ Still thinking about the amazing conversations from the Real Talk: Women’s Health & Wealth Event

👏🏻 A huge thank you to all the corporate girlies who came along, listened and shared.

🩵 As someone who has been on my own journey and struggled for years with PCOS before I finally got my diagnosis and could take control of my symptoms I recognised the importance of education.

💬 We covered SO much important information from pensions, mortgages, life insurance and investments, to mental health, and of course I had the pleasure of speaking about nutrition through the different phases of womanhood.

We touched on:
🩸 Period health
🥚 Fertility
🤰 Pregnancy
🌷 Menopause

🔗 Because women deserve support, education and conversations that look at the picture health, wealth and wellbeing.

🎤 Apologies for my mic change and taking my heels off at the beginning. Tried to sacrifice comfort for fashion, never again thats for sure. The lack of feeling grounded definitely made me the most nervous I have ever been doing a talk but I guess we can’t be perfect all the time.

🙏🏻 Honestly such a lovely evening with brilliant women and brilliant conversations.
