Listening Lounge Jersey The Listening Lounge provides mental health & wellbeing support for adults aged 18 and over.

All our services are free and can currently be accessed by visiting us at our address or contacting us to book an appointment time.

🔎Counselling falls under the umbrella term ‘talking therapies’. It provides a safe, confidential space to share any problems or difficult experiences you may encounter, without judgement. Counselling can be tailored to you and offers an opportunity to explore thoughts and feelings in more depth and look at problems from new perspectives.

👉 How To Self Refer for Counselling | No cost involved

💻You're able to self-refer to our counselling service by completing a short form (follow the link). We then arrange an initial assessment for you with one of our counselling team. (You can select on the form how you would prefer for us to contact you) 📞

⏰ Following this, if we are an appropriate service to support you, you can meet with your counsellor on an individual basis, usually at weekly intervals for up to 16 sessions.

📍 If an alternative service will be best placed to support you, your counsellor will discuss these options with you. We're able to refer to several other services. You can also use our informal service at any time by calling or visiting us Mon-Sat 10am-8pm.

☕ Coffee morning - We aim to hold a coffee morning on the 2nd Wednesday of each month - an opportunity for us all to meet as a group and socialise whilst supporting each other as carers.

The event is for anyone aged 18 or over who provides care or support to someone living with mental health difficulties

👉Join us and Stephen McCrimmon who will lead us through a session of Laughing yoga. This is a practice where participants laugh voluntarily, even without jokes or humor, while performing gentle yogic breathing exercises (pranayama). The core idea is that the body cannot distinguish between real and simulated laughter, so both produce similar physiological and psychological benefits, such as releasing endorphins, reducing stress hormones like cortisol, improving immunity, and increasing oxygen flow to the body and brain.
