The Kitchen Cupboard is a family run business, offering specialist food products. We stock gluten free, organic, dairy free and many other dietary requirement items. We also stock baking products, from fruit, nuts and raisans to specialist flour. We also stock a large variety of olde fashioned sweets and liquorice.

Helen has been with us for years and brings a warm, calm energy to the shop each day. She’s always happy to help and genuinely enjoys chatting with customers about their favourite products and new things to try.

Meet the Team, Me, Pip 🤎

I thought I’d start our Meet the Team series by introducing myself! I’m Philippa, though most people call me Pip, and I’m proud to be the owner of The Kitchen Cupboard.

My mum, Maria, opened the shop back in 2012, and when she retired, I took over to keep our family business going. These days I balance running the store behind the scenes with life as a mum to two little boys, aged four and two. I’m not in the shop every day, but I’m always working away in the background — from ordering stock to planning what’s next for the business.

I’m incredibly lucky to have a brilliant team who keep everything running smoothly on the shop floor. They’re the reason The Kitchen Cupboard feels so warm and welcoming, and I can’t wait for you to get to know them in this series.

We’re so excited to launch our next series, where we’ll be introducing you to the wonderful team who are the heart of The Kitchen Cupboard. We’ll also be showcasing our brilliant product ranges, sharing recipe ideas, highlighting our product of the week, and bringing you lots more from inside the shop.

Here’s a little look at our story so far — from how we began, to our family values, what we offer, and the community that keeps us going.
