Step by step, day by day is our walk with the Lord. It doesn't matter how we start, but how we finish. To watch Abbey-Gale's growth has been a blessing. I'm so proud of you.

Looking at this first picture, you look like a perched Lioness. When Mr Shawn Rhoden captured this picture he said 'she looks so fierce' lol. I've watched you grown into a little prayer warrior and you are not someone to be messed with. I love how you have grown in confidence with the Lord.

Life's challenges never detailed you, or stopped you, you demonstrate such an ambition to excel and do well, I pray the Lord continues to grant you favor and wisdom in all your endeavors. You are inspiring others, continue to stay focused.

I had always loved art growing up, i remember my first art class in grade 1 and not being able to participate because i didn't have the right tools or paint. I was so frustrated, lol. Then years later, having found a passion in makeup artistry and again not being able to financially start my business, I turned to God n wrote a list of all the tools I needed and gave it to my Abba Father with a DATE. He provided a ticket, sent me on a plane and blessed me with 2 caboodles stocked of supplies to come home and start my business ! Now fast forward, I use my gift to bless others.

I have found the face to be a beautiful canvas, a place of expression. Thank you Mr. Shawn Rhoden for capturing this beautiful moment with the lovely Toni-Ann Cambell.

Every soul I come in contact with is a time of ministry. It is a vulnerable time of sharing how you feel about yourself and sharing your desires. To me, it's not just about the makeup, It's about how you think and feel about yourself. Every face I touch is a moment to touch a SOUL. The time it takes for me to do an application, is time I can use to pray, counsel, encourage, speak the truth, and affirm you that you might know:

Psalm 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

"The journey of healing is a daily choice.
Healing doesn’t happen over night but everyday you choose to give it to God, to keep going, keep praying and believe is the more you change and bear the fruits of healing. Thankfully, it is not a solo journey, God is there to hold you up, carry the weight, listen to all your frustrations and be the source of healing.

The journey has taught me that it doesn’t make sense to try and fix it on our own, that no matter how strong we are, or how much we think we know and are justified, we can’t manage it without God. Even in our hurt, our ugliness and disobedience he loves us and is yearning for us to just give it all to Him.

Keep going, being patient with yourself and holding to the reassurance that the Lord is always on your side. He is for you and not against you. Be encouraged if you are still healing and not where you want to be yet, any progress, even saying Yes Lord!, is worth celebrating."

"Healing means taking the time to sit with your feelings. It’s easy to bury how something is truly affecting you because it “hurts less”. It requires you to sit with your feelings because you can’t fix what’s hurting if you are pretending like there is nothing hurting. Healing is uncomfortable and confusing at times. It gets confusing because once you start to let yourself feel your true emotions, you start the journey of healing where you will have good and bad days.
I believe TRUE healing only happens when you turn to GOD. It is only through Him that your bad days don’t last forever. You see, once you include God in your healing journey He equips you with the strength needed to face your hurt, learn from it and use the experience to help others.
They are still days when it hurts but I’ve come to learn that it’s okay, it isn’t about the hurt it’s about whether you choose to face it with God’s assistance or you decide to try it on your own by pretending that you are fine. Believe me it’s much better doing it with God. Take it from me, the queen of pretending- everything is okay while my world is on fire. Take it from me who cursed God for the hurt I had to deal with. Take it from me who lost herself because of all the hurt. Take it from me who thought death was the only way to stop the hurt. Take it from me who He saved from the depths of darkness. Take it from me who He gave the strength to go back into that dark place to share what it was like down there but then be able to walk back out with my head held high and talk about what it means to be in the light." - J.W
