Hello Friends! I will soon be embarking on a cross-country adventure from east coast to west coast with extended stays in Las Vegas, West Hollywood, Sedona, and Gore, Virginia. CALLING CARDINAL DIRECTIONS
Facing East we start this rite
Calling powers of air and birds in flight
Energies of spring and the color red
For protection of body, heart, and head
and prayers of victory, success, and love
for healing, teaching, and soaring above
And shedding old and embracing new
Clarity of vision, and creativity too

Turning North we face the cold
Winter blue and ancestors old
Embracing loss of what we had
Grieving hardships and emotions sad
But also learning, surviving, healing
Wisdom, logic, and stable feeling
Element of earth and power of bear
Spiritual discovery and patient self-care

Now facing West we stand and call
Powers of grounding, harvest, and fall
The color black, and energy of snake
Focused on dreams and goals we make
Transformation and shedding of skin
Stability, judgement, and intuition

Turning South we call the light
Energy of summer and the color white
Great abundance, passion, and pride
Powers of wolf, and the strength of it's tribe
Lessons of courage, faith and trust
Element of fire, sensuality, lust
Fertility, growth, and regeneration
Peaceful, joyful, contemplation

Now that we've called the cardinal directions
We start our journey with full protections
And mindful focus on intentions set
Inviting learning of what we haven't yet
and healing, expansion, and relief from strife
Embracing full potential for this life

MUSHROOM THOUGHTS
Hidden mirrors she carries can be scary things
when deflection of self-reflection it brings
To fend off the weeping
and secrets she's keeping...

Her 9 to 5 assures she's alive
But deep down inside she is sleeping

Till one day, in May, she gives Jah a say
And is faced and disgraced, in a gentle way
By one who spies
through her own eyes...

And it tells, of "oh wells", "too bads"
"it's a shame", big lies, sad times, and goodbyes

Broken but awake, it's time she now take
A look at herself and all her mistakes
To re-create, re-design
Renew, re-align...
