There are books just everywhere in my tiny Brooklyn apartment. I find great happiness in going through them from time to time. They have been a great inspiration for ILÉM, revolving around culture, art, design, fashion, and everything that makes this brand what it is.

I decided to share books I found inspiring every week (because why not) with you and open up conversations about these topics we love and learn more about one another.

There’s a version of Saturday that starts before the city does. Before the trucks, before the sirens find their rhythm again, before anyone’s decided what kind of day it’s going to be.

Just the kettle, and something new on the counter, waiting to be tried.

Pour a little more than you think you need, taste it before you decide what it’s for. Rose and olive oil together sound unfamiliar until they’re not, until it’s just what’s in front of you, and you’re paying attention to it.
That’s really the whole point. Not the recipe, not getting it right. Just noticing how something makes you feel when you give it the time to.
