Nothing beats momma’s love!

Is there a love that compares to a mother’s love? A greater love than this maybe? Love so big; love so beautiful and strong yet gentle.

Isaiah 49:15 “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.
Isaiah 49:16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

Only greater love is the love from the maker.

An ectopic pregnancy happens when a pregnancy implants outside the uterus, most commonly in the fallopian tube. It can become life-threatening if not diagnosed early.

Risk factors may include:
> Previous ectopic pregnancy
> Pelvic infections or STIs
> Previous pelvic or tubal surgery
> Tubal pathology or disease
> Endometriosis
> Smoking
> Fertility treatment/IVF
> Pregnancy with an IUCD in place

An ectopic pregnancy can happen to anyone, but these factors raise the risk.

One of the most dangerous early pregnancy emergencies often starts quietly. This is one of the reasons why bleeding or spotting in pregnancy is considered a red flag.

Seek urgent medical review if you experience:
1. Severe abdominal pain
2. Dizziness or fainting.
3. Shoulder tip pain.
4. Vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy.

Prompt diagnosis and management saves lives.

Different treatment options exist depending on various factors including the patient’s hemodynamic stability, beta hCG levels, whether there is fetal cardiac activity or not, access to hospital for monitoring, and more. Discuss the options with your doctor and/obgyn

More care does not always mean better care.

And we do not just do procedures or offer treatments because it is available, can be done, accessible and affordable.

Medicine does not necessarily follow trends but must be backed with scientific evidence.
Consult a qualified medical personnel and make informed decisions regarding your care. Avoid self-medication.

Are you ready?

This is my prayer for every woman and couple who desire to conceive and have not been successful.

I pray that the stars may align towards you and lead to healthy pregnancies and deliveries.

I pray that you may keep the hope alive despite the obstacles and the challenges you are facing; together or singly.

I pray that science may reveal what the issues may be so that they may be resolved.

I pray that the creator and giver of life shall look towards you and sprinkle his miracles your way.

I pray that you may find peace knowing that someone else (your doctor included) is praying for you.

Sometimes, labor doesn’t fail; you’re just dealing with a baby that needs a different route into the world.

That wait wasn’t wasted.
That decision wasn’t late.
It was timely, necessary, and safe.

Outcome:
Mommy is safe and healthy
Baby is healthy and safe

And in the end?
Absolutely worth it.

Trust the process and your care team. Every decision in labor is made with one goal: a safe delivery for both mom and baby.

Most foods and drinks are actually safe during pregnancy.
The real concern? Food safety and preventing infections that can harm both mother and baby.

How to keep your food safe:
1. Wash thoroughly
Clean all fruits, vegetables, and salads before eating.
2. Cook food well
Ensure meat, fish, and eggs are fully cooked.
Boil milk if it’s not pasteurized.

Foods & risks to watch out for:

1. Unpasteurized milk & dairy products
(e.g., some cheese, cream, yogurt, ice cream)
Risk: Listeria infection
Can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth

2. Raw or undercooked meat
Risk: Toxoplasmosis
Can affect your baby’s brain and eyes
Also, avoid game meat (may contain lead)

3. Raw or partially cooked eggs
Risk: Salmonella infection
Causes severe food poisoning

4. Undercooked or high-risk fish
Avoid: shark, swordfish, raw shellfish
Risk: Listeria & high mercury levels
Always cook fish until steaming hot

Bottom line: It’s not about fear, it’s about being intentional with food safety.
A few precautions can make a huge difference in protecting your pregnancy.
