🎗️ CERVICAL CANCER CAN BE PREVENTED 🎗️
Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, but the good news is that it can be prevented and treated successfully when detected early.
The main cause of cervical cancer is a virus called HPV (Human Papillomavirus), which is spread through s*xual contact. Many people may have HPV without knowing, which is why prevention and screening are very important.
⚠️ Possible warning signs include:
• Bleeding after s*x
• Bleeding between periods or after menopause
• Persistent foul-smelling vaginal discharge
• Lower abdominal or pelvic pain
• Pain during in*******se
Early stages may have no symptoms at all, so regular screening is important even when feeling healthy.
✅ How to prevent cervical cancer:
• Get the HPV vaccine
• Go for regular cervical cancer screening
• Practice safe s*x
• Avoid smoking
• Seek medical attention early when symptoms appear
💉 About the HPV Vaccine
The HPV vaccine helps protect against the virus that causes most cervical cancer cases. It is safe, effective, and works best when given early, especially to girls aged 9–14 years before exposure to the virus. Older teens and young women may also benefit after medical advice.
🩺 Early detection saves lives.
When cervical changes are detected early through screening, treatment can begin before cancer develops or spreads.
Let us protect our mothers, sisters, daughters, wives, and friends through awareness, vaccination, and screening.
