Protecting Your Health Against Cervical Cancer .
Early detection is the most powerful tool we have. While cervical cancer often has no symptoms in its very early stages, it is important to know the warning signs as the disease progresses.
Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding: Bleeding between periods, after menopause, or after sexual in*******se.
Unusual Discharge: Vaginal discharge that may be watery, pale, pink, brown, bloody, or foul-smelling.
Pelvic Pain: Persistent pain in the pelvis or lower back that isn't related to other conditions.
Pain During In*******se: Pain felt during or after sexual activity.
If you notice any of these symptoms, do not panic, but do not delay.
1. Consult a Professional: Visit your nearest healthcare facility or gynecologist immediately for a check-up.
2. Be Specific: Tell your healthcare provider exactly what symptoms you are experiencing and for how long.
3. Request a Screening: Ask for a cervical cancer screening (HPV DNA test or Pap Smear).
4. Follow Up: Ensure you receive and understand your results and follow the recommended next steps provided by your doctor.
Remember: Having these symptoms doesn't always mean you have cancer—other infections or conditions can cause them—but only a medical professional can give you an accurate diagnosis.
