🦴 SCAPHOID FRACTURE — DON’T IGNORE WRIST PAIN
A scaphoid fracture commonly happens after a fall onto an outstretched hand. Because swelling can be minimal, it may easily be mistaken for a simple wrist sprain.
⚠️ Watch out for:
Pain on the thumb side of the wrist
Tenderness at the base of the thumb
Pain when gripping or pushing
Persistent wrist pain after a fall
Early diagnosis matters. If untreated, a scaphoid fracture may fail to heal properly and eventually cause chronic wrist pain and arthritis.
Persistent wrist pain after an injury? Get it assessed early.
