# Anemia vs Polycythemia vs Leukemia 🩸🧬

Not all abnormal blood counts mean the same thing.

🔴 **ANEMIA** — Too little hemoglobin or too few/abnormal red blood cells → fatigue, weakness, pallor and shortness of breath.
**Common causes:** blood loss, iron/B12/folate deficiency, chronic disease and hemolysis.

🔴 **POLYCYTHEMIA** — Increased red blood cell mass, causing elevated hemoglobin/hematocrit.
**Causes:** dehydration, chronic hypoxia, smoking, or **Polycythemia Vera (PV)**, a bone-marrow disorder.

⚪ **LEUKEMIA** — Cancer of blood-forming tissues, leading to abnormal production of white blood cells and disruption of normal blood-cell production.
**Possible signs:** persistent fatigue, recurrent infections, unexplained bruising/bleeding, fever or weight loss.

🧪 **Laboratory tests matter:** CBC, peripheral blood film, reticulocyte count and other targeted tests help determine the cause.

📌 **Remember:** An abnormal CBC is a finding—not a diagnosis. Proper clinical evaluation and laboratory investigation are essential.

🚨 **Not all vaginal discharge means an infection—but the color, smell, and texture can tell an important story.**

Your body gives clues. Knowing what they mean can help you seek treatment early and avoid complications.

âś… **Clear/white:** Often normal
⚠️ **Thick white:** May suggest a yeast infection
⚠️ **Gray with fishy odor:** Could be bacterial vaginosis (BV)
⚠️ **Yellow or green:** May indicate an infection or STI—get tested promptly
🚨 **Pink, red, or brown (outside your period):** Should be medically evaluated, especially if persistent

🩺 Never rely on color alone. Symptoms like itching, burning, a strong odor, pelvic pain, fever, or unusual bleeding require professional assessment.

đź’¬ **Early testing = Early treatment = Better health.**
