This week, allow me to dig deeper into neurodiverse and neurodevelopmental conditions and their relationship with nutrition. Over time, I have seen how nutrition can play a significant role in supporting the health and well-being of individuals with these conditions, and I have witnessed encouraging testimonies from families and caregivers.
Before discussing nutrition interventions, it is important that we first understand these conditions, including autism, ADHD, and cerebral palsy, and recognize why regular nutrition assessments are important.

Sometimes the cravings come hard. You see delicious food, your mouth starts watering, and you tell yourself, "Another body i will receive in heaven " πŸ˜„πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Then boom! Before you know it, you've finished two plates.🫣🫣🫣🫣🀣🀣😳😳

Nutrition requires patience and consistency. We live in a world full of yummy, attractive foods. And with my ghettoness as I have grown there, street food especially catches my eye. Those roadside chips ("chipo mwitu") can be very tempting! 🍟🀀🀀🀀🀀🀀🀀

The goal is not perfection. The goal is making better choices more often than not. One meal does not define your health journey, but your daily habits do.

That's why it is important to surround yourself with friends who influence you positivelyβ€”friends who encourage balance, not burgers every time, pizza every time, and unhealthy choices every day.
