KANGAROO MOTHER CARE (KMC)

KMC is endorsed intervention to reduce mortality for low birth weight and pre-term infants by World Health Organization. The Child maintains skin-to-skin contact with the mother, this acts as an incubator to keep the baby warm and safe, as well as improving breastfeeding and growth, and their ability to fight infection.

Its recommended intervention to all pre-term infants to aid their complete growth.
