The "Children Sickle cell Toto Christmas party" is an annual event hosted by the Children Sickle Cell Foundation - Kenya and Baraka Healthnet together with other partners to celebrate the holidays with children living with and affected by sickle cell disease.
The primary aim is to celebrate the holiday season with the children, offering them a day of fun and support, and raising awareness about the condition among the community and partners.
This Year's event was held at Stima Club in Ruaraka and more than 500 children from Mathare and Korogocho attended.
We say a big thank you to The Children Sickle Cell Foundation - Kenya for making it possible.
All the Sickle Cell Warriors received a gift package and a pack of Hydroxyurea capsules.

Our Nairobi Child Protection Unit Organized a two days Training for Youth Coaches and dance instructors or choreographers - 9th and 10th November.
Training coaches and dance instructors on child protection involves educating them on how to recognize and respond to safeguarding concerns, understand their legal and ethical duties, and implement preventative measures. It is also crucial for creating a safe environment for children.
Key areas included recognizing signs of abuse, knowing how to report and record concerns using the "4 Rs" (recognize, respond, report, record)
They also performed a Skit to show their understanding of the 4Rs
