Did you know that in our communities, over 70% of people living with epilepsy do not receive the right treatment? This isn't because medicine doesn't exist it's because of stigma, fear, and a lack of awareness. Epilepsy is a treatable neurological condition, not a spiritual curse. It can result from factors such as cerebral malaria, brain injury, birth complications, infections and many other medical causes. With proper diagnosis, medication, and support, people living with epilepsy can lead healthy and productive lives. πŸ“Ί Watch this feature from our local TV and press coverage: We are bringing specialized clinics, trained healthcare workers, and public education right to Homa Bay County.
