We have come up with an exciting way to empower, impact and change the youth by changing their perspective and attitude towards responsible sexual behaviour and the increasing number of HIV Aids infections, STIs and Unwanted Pregnancies among Kenyan Youth. The Punguza Initiative is a youth campaign that celebrates the youth who have decided to avoid the trappings of risky sexual encounters by prot
ecting themselves, making the right choices and accessing the right information. We give them a safe platform and regular opportunities to talk about their sexual reproductive health and rights. We are inspiring Kenyan youth into action by moving into their spaces, appreciating & celebrating their positive behaviour choices as well as granting them opportunities to grow & develop via advocacy, mentor-ship, life skills training, empowerment and development. We believe that with the proper mechanism, and the proper youth-oriented marketing and promotion, we will definitely succeed in igniting the spark around this youth campaign and create awareness and hype that will be beneficial in empowering the youth.
