Nearly half of all infertility in Africa is secondary. And most women have never heard the term.
Secondary infertility, struggling to conceive after already having a child, is one of the least diagnosed, least discussed reproductive health issues in Kenya.

Not because it isn't real. But because nobody names it.

Women are told to "keep trying." Doctors dismiss them because "you've been pregnant before." Family says the timing isn't right. And months, sometimes years, pass without answers.

Your body changes after pregnancy. Hormones shift, scar tissue can form, conditions can develop. None of this is your fault. All of it is investigatable.

Swipe through to understand what might be behind it.

Save this and share it with someone who's been waiting too long.

"You already have a child — so why isn't anyone taking you seriously?" 🤍
Nobody talks about this. But they should.

Secondary infertility is the inability to conceive or carry a pregnancy after already giving birth. It affects hundreds of thousands of women. Struggling in silence. Because they've been made to feel that their pain doesn't count.

"At least you have one."
"Just be grateful."
"It'll happen when it's time."

These words are said with love. But they shut down a conversation that deserves to be had with a doctor, with a specialist, with someone who will actually investigate what's going on.

Save this or share with someone you love who is living this story silently. Let's make sure every woman knows her pain is valid.

The moment many women hear they might have a fertility challenge, their mind goes straight to IVF, the cost, the injections, the emotional weight of it all.

And so they wait. They try herbs. They pray. They don't make the call.

Here's what nobody is telling you: most fertility challenges are resolved well before IVF is ever on the table.

The real journey usually starts with understanding what's actually happening in your body, your hormones, your cycle, and your partner's health. From there, many women conceive with lifestyle support, ovulation induction, or IUI alone.

IVF is a powerful, effective tool for cases where it's truly the right fit. But it's not where you start.

You start with a conversation.

Save this and share it with someone afraid to take the first step because of cost or fear.

If you’ve been trying to conceive and quietly wondering when it’s okay to seek help, you’re not alone. Many people don’t realise there are medical timelines that can help guide when to check in with a fertility specialist.

Asking questions doesn’t mean something is wrong. Sometimes, it simply means getting clarity, support, and understanding earlier.

Do you have questions about your timeline or fertility journey? Send us a DM or call us, we’re happy to guide you or help you book a consultation.

We know how isolating this journey can feel, especially when everyone around you seems to have answers, but none of them feel like yours.

We're asking because the most powerful thing in the room is a shared truth. What do you know now that you didn't then?

The name changed. Here's why it changes everything.

PCOS has officially been renamed PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, and the shift is far more than just a name.

For too long, the word "polycystic" meant women with normal ovaries on ultrasound were told they couldn't possibly have the condition. Symptoms dismissed. Diagnoses delayed. Fertility questions left unanswered.

The new name fixes that. It tells clinicians and patients that this is a hormonal, metabolic, whole-body condition that needs to be investigated and treated as such.

Swipe through to understand the full picture. And if you've been managing a PCOS/PMOS diagnosis or suspect you might have it, DM us "PMOS" to talk about what this means for your fertility journey.

Let's talk about the test that could unlock answers for your whole fertility journey.

A semen analysis checks two key things: count (how many s***m) and motility (how well they move). Both matter for conception. Low count can be caused by things like infections, varicocele, hormone imbalances, lifestyle factors (heat, smoking, stress), or sometimes no clear reason at all.

The good news? Many causes are treatable. And a simple, private test is the first step.
