Last night was so much fun!

Sending a BIG Thank You to Create with Selene - Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator - DIY Crafting and her team for volunteering their time, materials and creativity, making over 200 handcrafted cards to be included in our Oncology kits. Yes, over 200 cards in one evening!

It was a pleasure meeting everyone and having the experience of learning the steps and thoughtful planning it takes to create something that starts out as just a piece of colored paper that then turns into a colorful piece of art.

How does something so plain become something beyond just a piece of paper that can make you smile???
I experienced it last night and can't wait to share these handcrafted cards and spread the smiles 🙂

Each oncology kit we donate through our Hair and Scalp Wellness program will include one of these amazing colorful cards.

The best protection for your scalp and your hair is to keep it covered!
Exposure to the sun can increase the risk of developing a variety of scalp cancers.

Don't forget to apply sunscreen before heading outside and DON'T forget to reapply throughout the day.
** Avoid sunscreen on the scalp / hairline. Remember, the best protection for your scalp is to keep it covered.

If you notice a growth or a sore on your scalp, get it checked immediately. Early detection is crucial and often scalp cancers go undetected because it can be hidden by the hair.

Stop by our table and say 👋 as we cheer on the students, wishing them all Good Luck and giving them a 🙌 for all of the hard work they have accomplished to make it here.

Remember, all your hard work, dedication and commitment is what brings you to this weekend. Enjoy the next few days, make new friends, learn from your experience, give 100% during your competition.

At 23 yrs old, Sharon Clohesy, President / Founder of ROgHA® Hair System opened the doors of her first salon on April 7, 2000.

If you asked Sharon after she graduated Vocational High School and became a licensed Cosmetologist, what's your plan for owning your own salon? Her response was always, "never, not me".

However, Sharon's parents and others around her thought differently!

While operating her business, working behind the chair, traveling coast to coast as a licensed Educator for a major hair loss company, pursuing her studies in cosmetic chemistry while finding time to serve as an events manager for VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. Now SkillsUSA) Cosmetology State Competition.

Sharon was often asked. "How do you find the time to manage all that you do"?

Her response, "If you love what you do for a living, you will never work a day in your life". This saying was even painted on the wall in her salon.

Sharon's mission has always been to make a difference and giving nothing less than 100%.

After owning her salon for over two decades, Sharon announced that she would be closing its doors. This difficult decision was made, allowing time to pursue her accomplishments as a Certified Trichologist, President / Founder of ROgHA® Hair System, Hair and Scalp 360, LLC while continuing to grow her annual Oncology fundraiser and educational programs.

Opening Hair Studio 2000 was something I never expected to do, operating the salon for over two decades, each year felt like I was always celebrating the first year.

To all of my clients that share these memories, I will ALWAYS be grateful.

We all want hair growth, right?! So, how can getting a haircut help hair grow???

It DOESN'T! The hair grows out from the scalp.

BUT,
Getting a haircut regularly DOES help with 👇

✔ Maintaining a style (Consistency is always great, especially a style you love!)

✔ Removing split ends (Makes styling and combing out easier. Hair is healthier!)

✔ Prevents split ends from traveling higher up the hair shaft (Increased split ends can cause the hair to look and feel thin)

📣NOW, for hair growth. Here's a few steps that can help 👇

✔ Consume necessary supplements (excessive or "fad" supplements can have a negative impact on your hair and your wallet)

✔ Avoid an unhealthy diet (sugary, fried, processed foods)

✔ Limit alcohol consumption (YES, alcohol intake can impact your hair)

👉👉Maintain a balanced scalp environment (gentle, effective ingredients that are pH appropriate DO make a difference!)
