Kilt is a NGO founded by Muy Seu Bel (known as Bel) in 2009. The original aim for this organization was focus on serving Khmer’s landmine victims. Nowadays, Kilt works in order to provide shelter, primary healthcare and free education to vulnerable children from some of the poorest communities in Cambodia. s who lived closely to this reality, founded this NGO which the primary purpose was to provide social integration and helping these victims and their families to overcome all challenges that they face through vocational training, education and work in a sustainable way. Currently Kilt is a home for many children in needs and is devoted to ensure that every child has the best chance for a good future. We provide them food, primary healthcare, learning opportunities and protection from harm. Changing these children’s lives will make a difference in the course of their future and in our country. Kilts’ profits mostly come from making a variety of handmade products, such as jewelry from natural and local hand carved semi-precious stones like jasper, jade and agate, which design is inspired by Angkor Wat and a range of stylish bags and wallets made from recycled rubber tires. Apart from being a source of income, this activity is also a great chance for children to learn and develop new skills. Each piece is unique and can be custom-made to the client´s specific instructions and wish. Buying our products will help KILT to continue to be an independent NGO and guarantee jobs shelter and new opportunities for our small community.
