In a busy outpatient clinical environment, the time radiologic technologists spend positioning patients with limited mobility, along with the delayed reading times caused by repeated scans due to limited Field of View (FoV), constitutes the biggest bottleneck that degrades a hospital's patient throughput.

StriXion goes beyond being a simple imaging device that provides excellent image quality; it offers a 'workflow optimization solution' that combines the three-dimensional flexibility of its hardware with a 43x60cm large-area detector to optimize clinical pathways and minimize patient fatigue during examinations.

1️⃣ Flexibility | Patient-Centric Positioning: Flexible Examination Environment and Clinical Expansion

The process of transferring trauma or elderly patients onto conventional X-ray tables or CT gantries requires significant physical labor from medical staff and can induce unnecessary pain and secondary risks, such as falls, for the patient. StriXion implements a truly patient-centric diagnostic system where "the equipment's moving parts adapt to the patient's condition, rather than forcing the patient to adapt to the equipment."

✅ Versatile Patient Positioning in Any Situation : Through its articulated poly-positional stand, it supports various diagnostic positionings regardless of the patient's physical constraints. In addition to basic examinations performed in a supine position, elderly patients with restricted mobility or severe trauma patients can enter the imaging area and undergo tomographic scans while remaining seated in a wheelchair or lying on a stretcher, without any forced movement.

✅ Broad Coverage of Diseases and Symptoms : This positioning flexibility drastically expands the range of diagnosable conditions. It allows for the safe prognostic evaluation of patients with multiple fractures from traffic accidents or falls, as well as orthopedic patients unable to move immediately post-surgery, without causing pain. Notably, for conditions where pain and lesions are exacerbated under gravity—such as degenerative knee osteoarthritis, spinal stenosis, and spondylolisthesis—it can acquire diagnostic images reflecting actual biomechanical loads in a standing (weight-bearing) position, thereby enhancing diagnostic accuracy in orthopedic and neurosurgical practices.

When comparing bilateral joints or evaluating extensive thoracic and pelvic regions, conventional limited detector sizes inevitably cause image cut-offs or force multiple segmented exposures. This not only delays examination time but also shortens the lifespan of the X-ray tube.

✅ Equipped with a 43x60cm Large-Area Dynamic Detector : StriXion is equipped with a 43x60cm large-area Dynamic Flat Panel Detector (Dynamic FPD). Through this large-area detector, it is possible to entirely capture the full adult chest, the entire pelvic region, or bilateral shoulder and knee joints within the frame in a single scan.

✅ Maximizing Reading Efficiency : From the medical staff's perspective, the large-area dynamic detector allows them to instantly view a single, extensive, and distortion-free clinical image rather than segmented and stitched images. It enables an intuitive understanding of bilateral joint symmetry, soft tissue involvement around lesions, and the overall structural balance of the skeleton. This drastically reduces the mental fatigue and time required for reading, allowing more time in the consultation room to explain examination results to patients and discuss future treatment plans.

✅ Maximizing Hospital Operation and Workflow Efficacy : Ultimately, the introduction of StriXion directly translates to hospital operational efficiency. The inconvenience of retaking images due to cut-offs in the region of interest is significantly reduced, preventing the time spent on additional exposures and the extra radiation dose to the patient. Furthermore, as the examination process is simplified, the number of patients a single medical staff member can process per hour increases, smoothly resolving waiting room bottlenecks even during peak hours.

While private clinics and specialized hospitals consider adopting CT to enhance their precision diagnostic capabilities, facility infrastructure, massive maintenance costs, and patient radiation exposure act as realistic barriers to entry. Conversely, general X-ray, the primary diagnostic tool, presents clinical limitations in confirming micro-lesions due to anatomical superimposition.
StriXion is a Digital Tomosynthesis (DTS) multi-modality system that bridges this 'diagnostic gap,' compensating for the technical and economic limitations between these two modalities as follows.

1️⃣ StriXion vs General X-ray : Overcoming Anatomical Superimposition and Ensuring Continuity of Care
General X-ray is highly accessible and utilizes low doses, making it a core modality for primary screening; however, it possesses structural limitations due to the principle of projecting 3D human structures onto a 2D plane.
✅ Clinical Limitations of General X-ray: Anatomical structures of varying densities, such as bones, soft tissues, and organs, appear overlapping in the image. Such diagnostic uncertainty leads to referrals to tertiary hospitals or external institutions, resulting in in-house patient outflow.
✅ StriXion's Technical Efficacy : Enhancing Image Quality and Workflow
- Eliminating Superimposition via Tomographic Separation: StriXion reconstructs dozens of high-resolution tomographic images through a multi-directional sweep over a limited angle. It explicitly separates micro-lesions or structural defects in adjacent articular surfaces that were obscured and ambiguous on general X-rays in a short time, significantly improving diagnostic sensitivity at the primary care level.
- 3-in-1 System Ensuring Continuity of Care: General Radiography (RAD), Real-time Fluoroscopy (FLO), and Digital Tomosynthesis (DTS) are performed within a single system. If further precision evaluation is required after an X-ray, immediate tomographic scanning is possible without patient relocation, thereby strengthening in-house diagnostic capabilities.

2️⃣ StriXion vs General CT : A Practical Alternative for Radiation Exposure and Costly Infrastructure
General CT (MDCT) is the standard modality providing the most precise 3D stereoscopic images based on isotropic voxel data, but CT cannot be the optimal choice for all clinical cases.
✅ Operational Limitations of General CT: Behind its precise diagnostic capabilities lies an effective dose tens to hundreds of times higher than that of a general X-ray, raising concerns about excessive radiation exposure for pediatric and pregnant patients. Furthermore, there is a potential for preventive maintenance and regular part replacement costs to occur exponentially due to frequent failures of wearable parts, such as high-capacity chillers needed to control the extreme thermal load of the high-output X-ray tube and high-duty slip-rings.
✅ StriXion's Technical Efficacy : Low Dose, Fast Scan, and Operational Economy
- Dose Optimization and Fast Image Scan (Approx. 5 Seconds): General CT, which continuously rotates 360 degrees around the patient, requires more than ten seconds for a comprehensive scan, making patient breath-holding essential. In contrast, StriXion emits X-rays in a pulsed mode within a limited angle and utilizes a dynamic detector operating at 18~30 frames per second, shortening the scan time to approximately 5 seconds.
