In this snippet from our full FSHN Talks episode, Dr. Salima shares the philosophy that shapes every appointment: she always puts herself in her patient’s shoes.
Feeling what they feel, seeing what they see.
For her, explanation is part of the treatment. When a patient truly understands their condition — what’s happening, why it’s happening, and what comes next — healing becomes easier, recovery becomes faster, and fear becomes manageable.
Because an informed patient is an empowered patient.
At , we believe that care goes beyond the clinic.

There’s a quiet shift happening and it’s a beautiful one.
More of our older generation are starting to understand something we often overlook: movement isn’t optional as we age, it’s essential. The body that moves, stays capable. The body that rests too much, slowly forgets how.
But here’s a truth families don’t always want to hear sometimes, without meaning to, we become part of the problem. Out of love, we do everything for our parents and grandparents. We carry, we fetch, we finish tasks before they even try. And in doing so, we take away the very independence that keeps them strong.
The kindest thing we can do isn’t always to help sometimes, it’s to step back and let them move.
At , we guide families on how to support aging loved ones the right way: encouraging independence, not replacing it.

Pain is easier to carry when someone takes the time to explain it.
When a patient walks into a clinic, they’re not just looking for a diagnosis; they’re looking for clarity. The moment a doctor sits down, listens, and actually explains what’s happening in your body, something shifts. The fear gets smaller. The path feels less overwhelming.
Understanding your condition is part of the healing.
At , we believe that explanation isn’t a bonus — it’s part of the treatment.

Currently based at , she serves as the first point of medical contact for individuals experiencing pain or physical limitations. Through detailed assessments, she helps identify the most suitable treatment path—whether it involves physiotherapy, exercise therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or referral to trusted colleagues in mental health or other specialties.

She emphasizes the importance of first examining the patient thoroughly, understanding the root cause of the pain, and creating a treatment plan tailored to each individual’s needs.
Her approach focuses on:
☑️ Understanding the “why” behind the pain before recommending treatment
☑️ Evidence-based, non-surgical care whenever possible
☑️ Guiding patients toward the most appropriate therapy or specialist
☑️ Coordinated care through a multidisciplinary rehabilitation approach
Advanced treatment options may include:
💉 Localized pain-relief injections
