Complex knee injuries require careful assessment, planning and surgical expertise.

In this case, Dr. Alwin Almeida treated a 42-year-old female patient with a traumatic multi-ligament knee injury involving the ACL, PCL, MCL and meniscus.

The reconstruction involved ACL and PCL reconstruction using JewelACL, combined with gracilis, and MCL reconstruction using Infinity-Lock 5 mm Tape with the LaPrade technique.

The procedure was performed as a single-stage multi-ligament reconstruction, using off-the-shelf graft solutions without the need for donor graft harvesting.

Behind every complex reconstruction is a simple goal: getting back to moving and getting back to life.
