One Dynamo. Three angles. Three different purposes. 💪

When measuring quadriceps strength with the VALD Dynamo, the angle you choose isn’t random. each position can give you a different type of information.

🔹 45° → Easy to perform and useful for straightforward, comparable testing.
🔹 60° → A commonly preferred position when focusing specifically on quadriceps force.
🔹 90° → A more functional position that can give us a better idea of strength in a functional context.

So, which angle should you use? 🤔
It all depends on what you’re trying to assess. 📊

نفس الdynamo. 💪

Quadriceps.

This trip to Madrid was all about learning, discovering new technology, and seeing what’s happening in the world of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.

My goal was simple: find new things that can actually help us at Physyour, both in the clinic and in the shop.

It was a really successful trip, lots of new ideas, great conversations, and some exciting connections with suppliers from around the world. 🤝

Now comes the fun part… bringing some of these things back home. 🇱🇧

More to come! 🚀

Some might surprise you 🤯

Which one would you put in S-tier? 👇

From passive treatment → to active rehab. 🦵🏽🔥

When someone has hamstring pain, treatment shouldn’t stop in the treatment room.

We started with passive sessions to help manage the pain and symptoms. But because he’s an active person and wants to get back to sport, the next step is to load the hamstring and progressively challenge it.

That’s why we moved from the treatment room to the functional area, working on hamstring strength, control, capacity and progressive overload.

The goal isn’t just to make the pain feel better.
The goal is to make the hamstring strong enough to handle the demands of his sport again. 🏃‍♂️

With severe low back pain and sciatica, we don’t always start with active exercises.

In this case, the pain was strong and radiating down the leg, so we started with gentle hip mobility and controlled movements as part of our approach to help reduce symptoms, improve movement, and make the patient feel better.

But here’s the important part: not every technique works for every patient.

As physical therapists, we constantly adapt what we do based on the patient’s symptoms, response, and tolerance sometimes changing the approach completely.

There’s no one-size-fits-all treatment. We assess, we adapt, and we progress step by step.

Went to the rally for the experience… ended up getting a first-hand look at the problem. 🏎️

Elias Dehni was dealing with some pain, so naturally, I had questions.

After a few turns, braking, and a lot more movement than I was expecting, I started to understand exactly what he meant.

It’s one thing to hear an athlete describe what they feel. It’s another to experience the demands of their sport yourself. 🏁

What an incredible experience, Good luck this weekend at Rally of Lebanon, go smash it!

Same test. Better cues. Better data. 📊

When performing a Countermovement Jump (CMJ) or Squat Jump (SJ), the instructions we give the patient can directly influence how they perform the test.

That’s why clear, standardized cues matter.

For the PTs out there: How do you usually cue your CMJ and SJ? 👇
