Working night shifts? Your meal plan should work around your schedule, not against it. 🌙
Whether you’re a nurse, a Red Cross volunteer, or someone who works overnight, your body still needs enough food, even when your sleep schedule is completely different.
Night shifts can affect your appetite, cravings, energy, and hormonal regulation. Add stress and long hours awake, and it becomes even harder to manage hunger.
That’s why your meal plan needs to be adapted to your actual routine, so you can still enjoy your 3 meals and enough snacks, even if your day starts at 2 PM and ends at 5 AM.
And I’m not speaking only as a dietitian. After around 14 years as a Red Cross volunteer, I know firsthand what it feels like to stay awake all night, deal with stress, and crave everything in sight.
Your nutrition should fit your life.
