My relationship with tattoos started during my grade 8 school days. That was in 2010. Whenever I had a off periods, I' d draw dragons on my friends' arms with gel pens. So many friends got tattoos from me. Sometimes they would come up to me and say, "Ashan, tattoo ekk gahapan, makarek adapan, ubata adinna puluwan lassanama eka adapan." Then, in 2015, during my O/L school days, I started collecting bubble gum tattoos. I copied bubble gum tattoos in my sketchbook.

These tattoos were often made using natural dyes, hence the greenish-blue color, which is how the term "pachcha" became associated with the tattoo itself.
