Epilepsy is a neurological condition that causes recurring seizures due to sudden electrical activity in the brain. It is not contagious, not a mental illness, and not a sign of weakness.

With proper medical care and support, many individuals with epilepsy live healthy, active, and successful lives.

During a seizure:
✔ Stay calm and note the time
✔ Gently turn the person onto their side
✔ Remove nearby objects to prevent injury
✘ Do not restrain them
✘ Do not put anything in their mouth

If a seizure lasts more than 5 minutes, seek emergency medical help.

Awareness reduces stigma.
