Maggot Debridement Therapy Wound Healing (Diabetic, Surgical, Chronic wounds) Maggot Debridement Therapy (MDT) is the use of sterile maggots (fly maggots) to clean a non healing wound.

It is a safe, effective, low cost method for the treatment of non healing wounds and the removal of dead tissue. Maggots are introduced to the wound in a simple dressing and they will ONLY remove unhealthy and infected tissues including tissues that have been affected by MRSA, an antibiotic resistant strain of bacteria. By removing this tissue you are left with a HEALTHIER WOUND THAT CAN BE HEALED.
