🦟 WORLD MOSQUITO DAY – 20 AUGUST 🌿

Stop the Bite. Prevent the Risk.

Small actions can make a big difference in protecting our families and communities from mosquito-borne diseases.

βœ… Eliminate stagnant water
βœ… Keep water containers covered
βœ… Keep surroundings clean
βœ… Use appropriate mosquito protection
βœ… Seek medical advice when symptoms develop

As pharmacists and healthcare professionals, let’s educate, prevent, and encourage responsible healthcare-seeking behaviour.

πŸ’š Let’s protect our homes. Let’s protect our communities. Let’s stop the bite.

🦟 DENGUE CAN AFFECT ANYONE – EARLY ACTION SAVES LIVES

Dengue is spreading across many communities. A sudden high fever may be dengue. Early recognition, proper hydration, and timely medical attention can save lives.

βœ… Monitor body temperature regularly
βœ… Drink plenty of water, king coconut, ORS, and fluids
βœ… Take adequate rest
βœ… Use Paracetamol only for fever relief (as advised)
❌ Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Diclofenac, Mefenamic acid, and similar painkillers unless prescribed by a doctor
πŸš‘ Seek immediate medical attention if warning signs appear

Remember: The most dangerous stage of dengue often begins when the fever starts to settle (Days 3–5). Do not assume recovery simply because the temperature has become normal.

Let’s work together to protect our families and communities from dengue.
