❗️❗️Don’t skip the warm-up❗️❗️

Before I run, jump rope, or do any workout, I like to spend a few minutes preparing my body for movement. This sequence gradually progresses from warming up the muscles around the knee, to getting the hips involved, and finally preparing the calves and ankles for activity.

The goal is to prepare your body for the work ahead.

Try this warm-up before your next workout:
✨small forward/backward leg swings
✨larger leg swings
✨side-to-side hip swings
✨alternating overhead reaching step back
✨alternating heel raises
(10-15 reps each side or 30 secs each)

Save this for your next workout and let me know how it feels! 👇🏽

Special thanks to Fittsafe for supporting women in moving confidently and safely. I’m wearing one of their tops here and absolutely love the fit. Check out their Care Circle and use code “PU10” for a discount. ✨

Pain with stairs? Start by building control first.

A lot of people notice that going down stairs is harder than going up because your body needs more strength and control to lower yourself safely.

These exercises progressively get more challenging and can be a great starting point for:
• knee pain
• post-op recovery
• improving stair confidence
• lower extremity strength and stability

Use a railing if needed and progress over time as your control improves.

Slow. Controlled. Intentional.

Quality movement matters 💪🏽

If you’re dealing with shoulder irritation, it’s not always just the shoulder.

A lot of times, it comes down to how your scapula and shoulder are working together — especially if posture has been off.

This is a simple way to:
• move through your range
• loosen up tight areas
• improve overall movement

Try this:
• Foam roll irritated area: 30–60 seconds
• Arm movement (90 → overhead): 8–10 slow reps
• Upper trunk rotation: 6–8 each direction
• Roll out lateral trunk: 30–60 seconds

Nothing complicated — just creating space and awareness.

Try it, remember to breathe and see how your shoulder feels.
