- We must share the medicines we are taking, whether prescribed or traditional, so they do not clash.
- We must mention allergies or bad reactions we’ve had before.
- We must speak about our family history, because it may guide the doctor.
- We must not leave the health facility confused, we should walk out knowing the name of our treatment, the reason for it, the time interval, and how long we must continue.

When we speak truthfully, we protect ourselves. When we understand our treatment, we empower ourselves. Health care is not just what is given to us, it is also what we give through honesty.

Being in denial that your kids have relationships, are dating, or may even be sexually active does not make it less real. Silence doesn’t protect them it leaves them unprepared.

The best thing you can do is build a relationship with your children, guide them, and create a safe space for honest conversations. The truth is, dating has injured many self-esteem has been lost, and sadly, lives have been taken due to the pain of broken relationships.

Support your kids. Teach them about healthy boundaries, respect, and emotional resilience. Let them know they can come to you without fear of judgment. Presence and guidance are the shield they need in this vulnerable stage.
