Learning, sharing, reconnecting and making new friends on the other side of the world. ✨

I recently had the honour of being invited as a plenary speaker at the Asian Dermatologic Laser & Surgery (ADLAS 2026) in Penang, Malaysia.

Conferences are about science, but they are also about friendships, shared experiences and learning from one another.

Over three inspiring days, I had the opportunity to meet and learn from outstanding colleagues from across Asia and Australia who share a passion for dermatology, lasers, energy-based devices, and skin health.

One of the highlights for me was gaining new insights into the treatment of skin of colour. Our field is constantly evolving, and there is so much to learn from colleagues working with different patient populations and skin types around the world.

Beyond the excellent scientific program, what made this meeting truly special were the people. It was wonderful to reconnect with friends, make new ones, exchange ideas, and experience the incredible warmth, kindness and hospitality of my Asian colleagues. ❤️

I return home inspired, grateful, and full of new ideas that I look forward to bringing into my practice and sharing with my patients.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and everyone who made this meeting such a memorable experience. I already look forward to seeing many of you again.
