Plateful Nutrition

Plateful Nutrition Holistic Nutrition refers to supporting your body, mind and spirit. Changing the way we eat can change the way we look, feel and think. I was often moody.

If you want to improve your diet, lifestyle and nutritional intake you’re at the right place. Welcome to Plateful Nutrition! My name is Vesela Savova and I am a certified Diet & Nutrition Advisor, living in Luxembourg. My interest in health and food began over 5 years ago, when I started paying closer attention to what I eat and to my general health. Eating mindfully, and increasing my knowledge a

bout the food I eat and how it directly impacts my health and wellbeing has truly transformed my life for the better. There were certain foods on my menu that did not do me any good and left me feeling tired and sluggish. I was struggling with skin issues, bloating and fatigue. My digestion was far from great. It was all due to the food I was consuming. Once I changed the way I ate I instantly noticed great improvements. My digestion became much better. I was no longer bloated and tired after every meal. My skin problems “magically” disappeared. And I suddenly found myself feeling more energized, and in a better mood than ever before! The change in my diet has enriched my life on so many levels! Bad food choices can impact our physical health and contribute to weight gain and health issues. But it also plays a major role to our mental health as well. Certain emotions and general energy levels can be traced back to the foods we eat. Think about it this way – the food we eat can either nourish our cells, and provide pure energy to our body and mind, or it can lead to depletion and put a strain on our body, physical and mental health. Do you want to be the healthiest version of yourself, and eat food that makes you feel great? Do you want to have more energy, improved mood and digestion? As we work together, we will discover the types of foods you need to increase in your menu, and as you lovingly nourish your body from the inside, soon the results will become visible on the outside too. As you start eating right for your body, you will blossom into the best version of yourself! It is not a quick fix or a fad diet. I am offering a coaching program that will help you start a healthier lifestyle you will learn to love! It is the small things we do everyday that bring big results in the future. This is also my philosophy towards health and diet. Find out more on how I can help you here. I am constantly expanding my knowledge about nutrition through participation in workshops, seminars and reading the latest studies and research on food and nutrition. My favourite books are all about nutrition, health and food recipes. As a new mom, my interest has further expanded into child nutrition, and I have completed a certification course in Child Nutrition and Cooking from Stanford University. I have also completed a certification course on the Human Gut and Microbiome with the University of Colorado Boulder. Visit my blog if you are interested in tasty whole food recipes, diet and nutrition topics and general tips to a healthier lifestyle through nutrition. I also provide a particular insight into how you can achieve a healthier lifestyle in Luxembourg. Love,

Vesela

The first M stands for “Mother” - but it reflects your primary caregiver, the one who fed you when you were little. This is where emotions began to attach to different food.

Later on their voice became a narrator around how you should feel around certain foods.. and chances are you’re still listening to that voice in your adulthood. But it’s not your inner voice.

This part is complex but incredibly important to work through if we want to create lasting change in our relationship with food and our nutrition. And it might start providing answers as to why you can’t seem to stick to a specific diet.

In my 1:1 client nutrition coaching I go into this in their assessment. Because if we don’t address our behaviors around food our nutrition won’t stick.

In the next video I’ll share the second M where you’ll start understanding your own body better.

The relationship you have with food today didn’t begin when you started thinking about it.
It started much earlier.
Sometimes in subtle moments.
Sometimes around the family table.
Sometimes through what wasn’t said.
The first M isn’t about blame.
It’s about awareness.
Because once you can see the pattern, you can change it.

Have you ever noticed that you already know what healthy eating looks like?

Yet knowing doesn’t automatically create change.

That realization changed everything for me.

During my nutrition studies, I discovered a framework that explained why food choices are rarely just about food.

It explained many of my clients’ struggles.

And it revealed why so many people feel stuck despite doing “all the right things.”

We’ll unpack it together over the next few posts.

For now, I’m curious:

Have you ever felt like you know what to do...
but can’t seem to consistently do it?

Nervous system regulation is having a moment and I’m all here for it! 🙌🏼

But one thing that’s not mentioned enough is how our food choices and eating patterns can contribute to the health and regulation of our nervous system.

I’ve mentioned it before - you can’t meditate yourself out of disregulation if you’re undernourished.

I’ve been noticing how different food tastes when I prepare it in a rush.

The energy feels off..

When I’m distracted, stressed, trying to move too quickly… that feeling somehow enters the experience of cooking itself. The meal becomes functional rather than nourishing.

But on the days I slow down, even slightly, something shifts.

Cooking becomes a transition.
A soft landing between work and home.
A way of returning to rhythm.

I don’t do this perfectly.
Sometimes dinner is rushed and practical.
But I’m learning that the small moments we repeat daily subtly shape the quality of our lives.

Maybe nourishment is not only what we eat but the energy we put into how we prepare our food. Do you agree?
