HD Sunflower - Luxembourg When you need additional support or a little more time

Not all disabilities are visible – some are not immediately apparent.

Wearing the Sunflower indicates you need additional support, time, space and understanding.

A small green lanyard, a big signal. Not every need is visible — the Sunflower helps make sure it’s seen anyway. 🌻

Some of the effects of Sickle Cell Disease can’t be seen 🌻

Pain, fatigue and changing energy levels may not be obvious to the people around you. And what someone needs one day may be different the next.

The Sunflower is a simple way for someone with a non-visible disability to discreetly indicate that they may need additional time, patience, understanding or support.

This Sickle Cell Awareness Month, we’re encouraging everyone to learn more, challenge assumptions and ask people what support works for them.

Pride Luxembourg 2026 🏳️‍🌈🌻 and for the second year Hidden Disability Sunflower friendly🌻

The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower means: I may need extra support, patience , no judgment or understanding — even if you can’t see why. It’s for people living with autism, chronic illness, mental health conditions, hearing or visual loss, and so many other non-visible disabilities.

Proud that Luxembourg’s Pride continues to make space for that. 🌻🏳️‍🌈

Yesterday was a good day for Luxembourg’s business community.

Paperjam Club - ’s largest business network, bringing together 25,000 professionals across 1,800 member companies at 160+ events every season - officially joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower 🌻 programme.

Here’s what that means in practice:

Sunflower lanyards will be available at every Paperjam Club event - free, no questions asked. Anyone wearing one is simply saying: “I may need a little extra time, patience or support.”

No proof needed.

Why does this matter?

1 in 6 people have a disability. Up to 80% of those are non-visible - meaning you can’t see them. Think: chronic pain, autism, anxiety, ADHD, hearing loss, epilepsy, Crohn’s disease, PTSD, diabetes... conditions that are real, often exhausting and almost always invisible to others.

Non.
