The cartoon – as an art of message transmission – is the best possible multifunctional tool (if not an arm) to sharpen people's perception, to develop a common sense for critical thinking, analyzing the situation, detecting the pr
oblems, and fight against the deviations in the society. Through the comprehensive, creative, and still funny way of transmitted messages of democratic values via cartoons, people (especially youngsters) will learn how to stand for their rights and to act as responsible citizens who practice the rule of law. We are certain that those values should be implemented in their minds from the early stage of their personal development. Later – it might be too late...
Specific Objectives:
- To make a room for free expression of the international cartoonists
- To transmit international cartoonists’ messages to the youth via strong, effective, and creative tool – cartoons
- To attract interest in the important issues among the youngsters by using digital channels
- To provoke curiosity among the young generation for cartoons making fruitful soil for new generations of cartoonists
- To help young people to develop skills for perception, selection, prioritization, and decision making by involving them in the online voting process, thus making them aware of the importance of independent judgment, personal attitude, and freedom of choice
