A Day with our CEO 🤝

Three service users from Mtarfa Day Cente recently had the unique opportunity to spend the day alongside our CEO!

From sitting in on meetings to gaining a behind-the-scenes experience, they were engaged first-hand what a typical day in leadership looks like. The day also included meeting teams across the Agency’s offices, where staff shared their roles, responsibilities, and how each department contributes to the bigger picture.

This experience broadened their perspective, giving them insight into Agency functions, and the many people behind them, all working together to create real change.

Service users forming part of the SkillUp programme were recently given an informative session about harassment by a representative from Kellimni 🗣️

The session focused on how to recognise different forms of harassment, as well as how to build strategies to protect oneself and others from such situations.

Through practical multiple-choice questions during the session, the service users further developed their understanding and awareness on the topic, thus preparing them for any real-life situations that may come their way.

Athletes forming part of the Special Olympics Team from various Aġenzija Sapport Day Centres recently had the opportunity to participate in a Bocce tournament!

A thank you goes to the coach from Special Olympics Malta, who took care of the organisation of the tournament.

The SkillUp team recently delivered an informative session in collaboration with visited the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation to present the range of programmes offered as part of the SkillUp Awareness Programme, and highlight how SkillUp initiatives can empower individuals and enhance opportunities for persons with disabilities.

The SkillUp Awareness Programme delivers informative sessions designed to raise awareness about the various services and opportunities available through the SkillUp Unit.

The session brought together Heads of Department and Education Officers in Inclusive Education, creating a valuable platform to exchange insights and strengthen collaboration in support of inclusive learning pathways.
