A little behind-the-scenes on how I run my wellness coaching consults these days.

You book.
We meet, either in person or over Zoom/WhatsApp (some of my clients are scattered well beyond
Malta at this point, which I love).

We talk through what's really going on, not just the headline complaint.

And afterwards, you get a book.
Not a pamphlet.
An actual guide from my Compass to Wellbeing library, matched to your primary issue.

Most people land on detox, stress, or digestion; three doors into the same house, in my experience, and the ones I see people walk through again and again.

It's my way of making sure the consult doesn't end when the call does. You leave with something to actually use.

25 years of a little nursing, some spa work, and mostly holistic hands-on practice work went into building that library.

Might as well put it to work for you.

You booked the consult.
Here's what happens after.

We talk.
We dig into what's actually going on (not just the symptom you led with, the underlying pattern beneath it).

And then you get something to take home.

A guide from the Compass to Wellbeing library, matched to you. Usually landing on one of three things:
Detox.
Stress.
Digestion.

Because if I had to bet on where dis-ease starts, I'd bet on those three every single time.

I've been doing this for 25 years.
I don't lose that bet often.

In person or on Zoom/WhatsApp, doesn't matter.
The care travels either way.

What to Eat as the Dial Turns

There's a particular kind of vegetable that only shows up once the light starts changing.
Squash. Pumpkin.

The whole root-cellar family, the ones that spent all summer underground doing nothing flashy while the tomatoes got all the attention.

And then the season turns, and suddenly they're everywhere, dense and orange and quietly smug about their timing.

Food's been keeping this calendar longer than we
have. It knows the season before we do, technically, since it's the one actually growing in it. Which makes it a decent cheat sheet for a body trying to figure out what it needs right now without waiting for a symptom to spell it out.

In the Five Element framework, this stretch belongs to Metal: the lungs, the skin, the large intestine, the organs most exposed to the outside world and therefore first to feel a shift in it.

Not a coincidence that this is also when immune systems start needing backup and skin starts asking for more than a shrug and a moisturiser.

So. What to reach for, and why your body's actually asking for it, not because a wellness account told you pumpkin spice is a personality:

* Root vegetables and squash: sweet potato,
pumpkin, carrots, beetroot. Slow-release energy for days that are quietly asking for more steadiness and less sugar-crash. Beta-carotene for the skin barrier, which is doing more work now that the air's drier.

* Warming spices: ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, black pepper. Circulation support as the temperature drops, and genuinely useful anti-inflammatory backup if your joints have opinions about weather changes (mine do, we've discussed this before).

* Dark leafy greens: kale, spinach, chard. Iron and
folate for the energy dip that isn't laziness, it's your body reallocating resources toward the immune push it can feel coming.

* Mushrooms: shiitake, maitake, reishi if you can get them. Proper immune-modulating compounds, not just a trend that photographs well.

* Citrus; the good ones start arriving right as
everyone else's vitamin C stores start running thin. Timing isn't subtle once you notice it.

* Bone broth or a proper mineral-rich stock - gut lining support going into the season that tests it hardest.

Simple, unglamorous, does the actual job.

None of this requires you to overhaul your kitchen or perform seasonal eating as a personality trait. It's less "new rules" and more "the produce section already rearranged itself for you, you just have to actually shop from the front of the shelf instead of the same four things on autopilot."

The Compass to Wellbeing's Nourishment guide goes properly deep on this, what to eat and why, mapped to what your body's actually doing at each point of the year, not just this one. If skin or immunity specifically are where you're feeling this shift, the Nutrient Compass has the full evidence-graded breakdown, sources, doses, and all.

The dial's turning either way.
Might as well eat like younoticed.

I built 24 ebooks.

Not because I ran out of hobbies (I did, actually, but that's a separate post).

Because every time someone asked me a wellness question this year, I realised I already had a five-page answer sitting in my notes, my old spa training, or my own actual life. So I wrote it all down. Properly. Chapter and verse.

The Compass to Wellbeing started as four guides: breath, food, movement, rest.

Then it kept going, the way these things do, until it covered your gut, your skin, your sleep, your stress, your hormones, your habits, and the twenty-one days it apparently takes to change one of them.

The Compass to Wellbeing is now, unofficially, the Compass to "wait, there's a guide for THAT too?"

The one I'm proudest of is the newest: A Journey to Balance, Healing and Vitality. It's mine. My own path back to myself, turned into a workbook so you can walk yours.

Swipe through the library. Find the one that's speaking to you (there are 24 chances for that to happen, statistically).
