Cervical HVLA (high-velocity, low-amplitude) is a targeted manual technique used to help restore cervical joint mobility and reduce stiffness when appropriate. The aim is to support better range of motion and ease protective muscle tension within a personalised treatment plan, following assessment.
Informed consent is always obtained, and this technique is not appropriate for everyone.
In this specific case, the patient presented with TMJ-related jaw stiffness together with neck stiffness, and HVLA was one component of the treatment.
