Think a normal weight means perfect health? Think again...

🛑You can look completely lean on the outside but still face critical medical risks if you have a sedentary lifestyle and a poor diet. In medicine, this profile is known as TOFI (Thin Outside, Fat Inside) or "metabolically obese normal weight."

Your day-to-day habits matter far more than the number on your scale. Here is what happens internally when a normal BMI masks an unhealthy lifestyle:

🫁 Hidden Visceral Fat: A normal weight doesn't stop dangerous fat from wrapping around internal organs like your liver and pancreas, triggering chronic internal inflammation.

🩸 Insulin Resistance: Relying heavily on processed sugars forces your pancreas to work overtime, paving the way for Type 2 diabetes.

🫀 Cardiovascular Strain: Poor nutrition combined with zero exercise causes blood vessels to stiffen and spikes cholesterol, quietly increasing heart attack and stroke risks.

💪 Muscle Atrophy: Staying inactive trades calorie-burning muscle mass for fat, destroying your base metabolic rate from within.

The Bottom Line: Fitness is an inside job. Body Mass Index (BMI) only measures your basic height-to-weight ratio—it does not measure your actual metabolic health. Prioritize moving your body and eating whole foods today!

It is never late to revert the process!

🔥 Losing Motivation During a Fat Loss Journey?

One of the biggest challenges in any fat loss programme is when progress slows down or stops. It’s frustrating, understandable, and often the point where many people feel discouraged.

At the start, changes usually happen quickly. But as weeks go by, progress naturally slows and can eventually plateau. Remember — progress looks different for everyone. Some people may take up to 40 days to notice visible changes in body size, weight, or both.

The important thing to understand is this: even when you can’t see changes, your body is still adapting — especially when exercise intensity is gradually increasing.

Some powerful “behind-the-scenes” improvements include:
✅ Increased muscle mass – more muscle means higher energy use
✅ Better appetite regulation
✅ Improved insulin sensitivity
✅ Reduced chronic inflammation
✅ Better sleep & body clock regulation
✅ Stronger behavioural & psychological resilience

If you feel stuck, try adjusting your training by increasing duration, intensity, or variety.

🚫 But one thing is certain: stopping exercise is never the solution.

Stay consistent. Trust the process. Progress is happening — even when it’s not immediately visible.

After another fruitful week, finally some gym time for me too!
With the studio busy most of the week, I don’t get much chance to use it myself.

Happy weekend everyone 🙂
