At Wellthy Hub, we believe wellbeing is broader than that.

A sense of safety is one of the foundations of wellbeing. It is difficult to feel at ease, pursue our goals or fully thrive when we feel vulnerable or unsafe.

This is why the 2nd session of our Wellbeing Now Series focused on Self-Defence Fundamentals for Women.

Facilitated by Ramon Jutliah from Self Defence Krav Maga Mauritius, the session explored practical aspects of personal safety, including awareness, recognising warning signs, setting boundaries and responding appropriately in challenging situations.

What made the session particularly meaningful was the level of engagement from participants. The many questions and discussions throughout the morning reflected a genuine desire to better understand how to navigate difficult situations with greater confidence.

At Wellthy Hub, we believe that wellbeing is strengthened when people have access to practical knowledge, expert guidance and opportunities for meaningful learning.

Our sincere thanks to Ramon and to all participants for contributing to such a thoughtful and engaging session.

Set-up complete and ready for tomorrow's session: "Good at your job but struggling to speak up?"

I have intentionally kept the group small so that I can coach each participant individually and help them work on real situations they face in their professional lives.

This first Professional Growth Series session is part of a wider initiative at Wellthy Hub to build a community around health, wellbeing and personal growth.

One conversation, one insight and one step forward at a time.

Looking forward to tomorrow.

- Walking to your car.
- Using public transport.
- Shopping alone.
- Meeting someone who refuses to respect your boundaries.

Most women have experienced situations that made them feel uneasy, yet few have ever been taught how to recognise risk earlier, establish boundaries confidently or respond effectively when a situation becomes uncomfortable or unsafe.

Awareness is a skill.
Confidence is a skill.
Personal safety is a skill.

Most smokers know that smoking is harmful. Yet many continue to smoke.

This simple reality reminds us that information alone is often not enough to change behaviour. Habits can become deeply rooted through repetition, routines, emotions, stress and subconscious associations developed over many years.

This is why some people explore approaches such as hypnotherapy. Rather than focusing solely on the habit itself, hypnotherapy seeks to work with some of the underlying patterns that may contribute to maintaining that habit.

This article features Roshan Puncheye, certified hypnotherapist who consults at Wellthy Hub, and explores how hypnotherapy is being used to support smoking cessation and behavioural change.

At Wellthy Hub, we believe that lasting wellbeing often requires looking beyond symptoms and understanding the deeper factors that influence our thoughts, behaviours and daily choices.

An interesting read for anyone interested in how the mind can influence change.

The first Wellbeing Now session at Wellthy HubWellthy Hub, facilitated by Lavanya Sunassy-Pather Dietitian and focused on PCOS/PMOS, was recently covered by Défi Santé.

Beyond the video, what matters most is what the session confirmed: people need accessible, credible and human spaces to better understand the issues that affect their health, wellbeing and daily lives.

The Wellbeing Now Series was created as a platform for practical and interactive sessions led by qualified and compassionate experts.

Our approach to wellbeing is holistic. Future sessions will explore themes that help people take better care of their health and wellbeing, navigate daily life with more clarity, composure and confidence, and grow into more aware, balanced and fulfilled human beings.

We are open to hearing from credible professionals who may wish to contribute to future Wellbeing Now sessions. Should you be interested, or know someone who may be, feel free to contact us.

Last Sunday, we held the very first session of Wellbeing Now at Wellthy Hub, led by Lavanya Sunassy-Pather Dietitian on the theme of PCOS/PMOS.

What touched us most was the level of participation and engagement from the women present. The session, initially planned for 2 hours, extended to almost 3 hours because of the numerous questions, discussions and genuine desire to better understand and manage the condition.

This is exactly the spirit behind Wellbeing Now: creating accessible wellbeing conversations where people can learn, ask questions freely and connect with qualified experts in a warm and respectful environment.

Thank you to all the participants for your trust and presence 💜

𝟏 𝐢𝐧 𝟏𝟎 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐂𝐎𝐒.

Most receive a diagnosis. Very few receive the guidance to understand what it actually means for their nutrition, their hormones, their energy, and their daily life.

That gap is one of the reasons we created Wellbeing Now at Wellthy Hub.

Wellbeing Now is our contribution-based session series, designed to make expert wellbeing guidance genuinely accessible. No barriers. No clinical overwhelm. Just grounded, practical conversations led by the right people, in a space built for exactly this kind of dialogue.

This Sunday, we open with a session on PCOS/PMOS led by Lavanya Sunassy-Pather, Registered Dietitian, who works with women navigating hormonal health every day. Lavanya will walk participants through how nutrition influences hormones, why symptoms vary so significantly between women, and what they can practically put in place starting today.

If this resonates with someone in your network — a colleague, a friend, a family member who has been carrying questions about their PCOS — I would encourage you to pass it on.
