I’m a self-employed woman and mama of two — a baby and a toddler — and I can tell you one thing for sure: life is CRAZY. 😅

Between the limited sleep, endless mum chores, work deadlines, and trying to keep everyone fed, bulk cooking is the only way I stay on top of my nutrition (and my family’s too!).

There have been many nights where I’m in the kitchen at 11pm prepping snacks so my toddler has nutritious options ready for the next day… (and for me too ☺️) and honestly, at 11pm, nobody wants to spend hours cooking. 😩

That’s why finding easy recipes became so important for me. Not just easy, but recipes made with everyday pantry staples, minimal ingredients, and requiring very little time.

So I thought I’d share it for anyone looking for simple, nutritious, budget-friendly meal ideas. And you definitely don’t need to be a mama to appreciate quick recipes — life is busy enough for most of us! 😬✨

One of their recipe- Oats, Banana and nut butter cookies. I do add some extra chia seeds to my recipes though. More fibre 🙈 if you dont like baking- try their no bake recipes 😁

Overheard recently at a grocery store 🛒

A very concerned dad to his teenage daughter:

“Stop eating all those sugary foods. Choose savoury! Otherwise you’ll end up sick.”

😳

I don’t blame him at all—many of us have grown up thinking that sweet foods are the problem and savoury foods are the solution.

But nutrition isn’t always that simple.

Did you know that many savoury foods can be surprisingly high in salt, and sometimes even hidden sugars? Likewise, not every sweet food is automatically unhealthy.

While excessive sugar intake deserves attention, salt is often the silent nutrient we forget about. Consuming too much sodium over time can contribute to high blood pressure, water retention, and increased risk of heart disease.

The takeaway?

✅ Don’t judge a food solely by whether it’s sweet or savoury.
✅ Read labels when possible.
✅ Focus on overall food quality and balance.
✅ Remember that both excess sugar and excess salt can impact health.

Nutrition is rarely black and white—it’s the bigger picture that matters.

Today we celebrate Mother’s Day — a day of love ❤️ not only for those who have given birth, but for every woman who pours her heart into caring for others.

I’ve been incredibly lucky to welcome two beautiful children into the world over the last 2.5 years. Despite the ups and downs of motherhood, I wouldn’t change a thing. My babies complete me.

Recently, I was body-shamed on social media for being in a larger body. What many people fail to realize is that giving birth is no joke. It places enormous physical and mental demands on your body. Trying to “bounce back” quickly can come with consequences, including weakened bones, poor gut health, hormonal imbalances, and much more.

The truth is, I honestly don’t care about the comments because I know my body and what it has been through. But the next time you think about commenting on a new mother’s size, try putting yourself in her shoes first. Motherhood changes everything — including how you spend your time. You no longer have the same 24 hours you once had before children 😉.

More importantly, I want my kids to grow up with a healthy relationship with food and body image. I want to be a role model for health, not someone who sacrifices their wellbeing just to meet other people’s expectations.

To all my clients who supported me and had my back — thank you. Your kindness means more than you know.

And to all the superhuman mothers out there, Happy Mother’s Day. ❤️
