I almost signed away my peace of mind for a house that looked perfect on paper.
Years ago I was set to sign for a mortgage. Everything checked out. Then I woke up one morning and something inside me just would not let it go.
I told my husband I couldn’t sign. At the closing table. He thought I was a little nutty, honestly, but he trusted me enough to go along with it.
Turns out that hesitation was right. The information I had wasn’t serving me, so I found another lender, and it worked out exactly how it needed to.
I think we’ve become so used to looking outside ourselves for answers, especially now with AI everywhere. But AI doesn’t have this. The nagging feeling, the pause before you sign, the body responding before your mind catches up. That’s inner intelligence, and it’s still ours.
This doesn’t mean we throw logic out the window. Keep asking questions. Do your research. But somewhere in all of that gathering, don’t forget to listen to yourself too.
I wrote about this in my book, “Oh No, Not Another Learning Experience - A Metamorphosis,” available on Amazon and on my website.
What’s your inner intelligence been trying to tell you lately?
