Two years ago, I found myself at a crossroads in my career that I didn’t fully see coming at first. On the outside, things looked fine, but internally I knew I was out of alignment with where I was headed next.
I was still building my online fitness business, but over time I watched the compensation plan change and pieces of the foundation shift. At the same time, leadership continued to reassure everyone that nothing was wrong. But in my spirit, I knew I no longer aligned with it. And because I genuinely care about people, I couldn’t continue inviting women into something I didn’t fully trust anymore.
I’ve never been someone who can sell just anything. I have to believe in what I’m sharing. I have to trust it. At that point, I didn’t feel right asking women to work incredibly hard for just a few hundred extra dollars a month when I knew firsthand that years earlier, the same effort created life-changing income opportunities.
So I started praying. I asked God what was next. I still wanted to serve and lead women in wellness. I still wanted to build something meaningful for my family. But I knew my heart wasn’t where I was anymore.
That’s when I reached out to someone connected to Shaklee and started asking questions. I was skeptical at first because I didn’t really even want to stay in the network marketing space. But the more I researched the company, the products, the leadership, and the mission, the more it resonated with me.
When I finally decided to make a change, it definitely wasn’t the popular decision. Especially among people who were still at my previous company and didn’t feel the same level of tension I did. There were people who didn’t understand it, questioned it, or likely thought I was making a mistake. But I knew I had to follow my heart and be willing to be misunderstood in order to remain obedient to what I felt God was calling me to do. Looking back now, I’m so grateful I made the leap when I did, even if some people still don’t fully understand it today.
And I also wanted to move through that transition with integrity. I didn’t try to convince my team to come with me, and I didn’t announce my decision ahead of time. I actually signed on with Shaklee first, and then shared with my team afterward what I was doing. I didn’t assume they should follow me or expect them to. I knew I needed to take the step I felt led to take and trust that God would help me rebuild from the ground up.
What drew me in was that Shaklee wasn’t just about fitness. It was about whole-body wellness, longevity, prevention, nutrition, clean living, and helping people feel their best for the long haul. As I was nearing 40, that mattered deeply to me. I wanted to align myself with something I could grow with for decades.
Then something happened that made this journey feel even more personal.
About a month after I joined Shaklee, my dad found out his lung cancer had returned as stage 4 cancer, and he passed away that same month.
That loss changed me forever. And it’s a huge reason why I care so deeply about what I do now. I truly believe timing matters, and I believe God placed me here to help families prioritize their health so they can have more time, more memories, and more quality years together.
There is nothing I love more than hearing endless stories of Shaklee people in their 80’s and 90’s who are still living independently and thriving, on little to no medication because they made their health a priority.
Since joining Shaklee, I’ve been blown away by the integrity of the company, the leadership, and the people. The culture is completely different than anything I experienced before.
Now, almost two years later, I’m more excited than ever about what we’re building here. Before I joined Shaklee I wondered if there were still places out there that created an environment for new team members to thrive. Now I know first hand that at least one definitely does.
I trust this company, and I know that if I bring someone ambitious and passionate about wellness onto my team, there is absolutely an opportunity to create meaningful income while helping people at the same time. The products work. People reorder. Customer retention is incredible. And most importantly, I feel proud of what I’m inviting people into.
Tonight I’m sharing an even deeper look into why I chose Shaklee, what the business actually looks like, and how income is earned in a realistic, sustainable way.
If you’d like to join the call live or get the recording afterward, comment “BUSINESS” and I’ll send you the details. You can TOTALLY do this and be successful! Choose faith over fear! 🙏🏻❤️
