Meal composition is so, so important. So much so that I typically talk with all of my clients about it within the first two sessions.
One of the simple frameworks we come back to often? A protein + a carb + a color.
Protein to support fullness, muscle maintenance and recovery.
Carbohydrates to provide energy and fuel your day.
Color to bring in fruits and vegetables, fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
This isn’t about making every meal “perfect” or following a strict meal plan. But there can be structure behind the flexibility. That’s how you reach your goals!
When you work with me, we look at your individual needs, goals, schedule, habits, food preferences and lifestyle to create a nutrition approach that actually makes sense for you. We talk about what to eat, how much, how to build balanced meals, how to fuel for your day, and how to navigate the situations that make nutrition feel difficult.
The goal isn’t to give you another list of foods you can and can’t eat. It’s to help you understand how to build a balanced diet for yourself with enough structure to feel confident and enough flexibility to actually live your life.
If you’re looking for nutrition guidance that is evidence-based, personalized and realistic (without the all-or-nothing mentality), I’d love to work with you.
