Grateful to be featured by The Quintessential Gentleman in their roundup of six men’s wellness retreats.

Appreciation to everyone who has trusted the work and helped build this community.

A few weeks ago, I wrote an opinion piece on why Black men should include wellness retreats in their travel plans for 2026, inspired by a wellness getaway I experienced in December.

What I didn’t expect was the overwhelming response after I shared it on social media.

Black men filled the comments not only agreeing, but also asking for recommendations. That response made it clear that more of us are ready to prioritize rest, healing, and mental clarity as part of how we travel.

So I did the work and put together a list.

There aren’t nearly enough wellness retreats designed with Black men in mind, but these six experiences are a strong starting point.

And who knows, maybe The Quintessential Gentleman will host one of our own soon.

We’re still in reflective mode, taking in the experience of the retreat that just ended.

So it feels especially meaningful to see the work mentioned in The Quintessential Gentleman.

We’re grateful for the recognition, and even more grateful to the men who trusted us and joined us for the first three retreats. You helped create something special.

We just closed The Black Man’s Self Mastery Retreat at Lunita Jungle Experience . Every man arrived safely — and every man has now returned home safely.

We experienced a few weather-related flight delays, but there were no security issues, no incidents, and no safety concerns connected to our time here.

Life here is steady. Airports are operating normally. Tourism is active. Families are living their lives. What’s being amplified in U.S. media does not reflect what we are experiencing on the ground in Quintana Roo.
