Three internationally recognized University of Ottawa researchers spent an intensive week inside Transcend Clinic.

PhD MD, Msc and Sonya Faber PhD, bring decades of work across clinical psychology, neuroscience, genetics, medicine, and psychedelic-assisted therapy, with hundreds of scientific publications between them.

A meaningful evening of learning, reflection, and dialogue at Hospitales AMERIMED®

Transcend Clinic was honored to welcome Dr. Iker Puente to Cancún for his lecture, *Psych3delic-Assisted Psychotherapy: Current Status and International Regulation*.

During the presentation, Dr. Íker Puente explored the history of psych3delic research, the evolution of international regulatory frameworks, the growing movement toward decriminalization, and the critical role of professional training, patient preparation, integration, and responsible clinical practice.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Puente for sharing his expertise, research, and perspective with our community.

Dr. Puente holds a PhD in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, as well as degrees in Psychology and Social and Cultural Anthropology. His work explores the history, therapeutic applications, research, and evolving global framework surrounding psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.
