Dark/ New Moon

This New Moon is taking place in the playful Gemini, and in the lunar constellation of Mrigasira, the Searching Star, symbolized by the Deer head. This particular nakshatra has the power to lead us to fulfilment through a path of wandering, exploring and seeking the truth. The nectar of the unknown...

Unrelated to Vedas, there is a legend about the Blue Deer, Kauyumari from the Wixarika tribe here in Mexico that I would like to share. The legend tells that a long time ago there were diseases, droughts and famines troubling the land and its people. Four young men (representing the earth, the water, the air and the fire) were sent to hunt to bring food for the people. They walked for days in search, tired and exhausted, until one day a giant Blue Deer appeared in front of them. Running after the deer, they were guided to the desert where they found the sacred cactus. Hikuri. Or Pe**te. Which they have brought back to their people that helped to feed them, heal them and bring rain to their villages. The people were saved and became the guardians of this sacred plant, every year making a sacred pilgrimage to the desert of Wirikuta to pray for rain and honor the Spirit.

This New Moon is opening up a new search and a new path after quite an uneasy month of growth fueled by the complex energies of Rahu and Jupiter conjunction in Aries. The last one month has been a tough cookie, challenging in different ways for many of us, mostly unexpected... And now we are at the tipping point of heightened irritation with stationary Saturn turning retrograde today (on Satur(n)day) on the Dark Moon day. The suggestion is to take it slow, go inwards and remember that we never set intentions on the Dark Moon day. Wait untill tomorrow at least.

The tale of the deer reminds us that even when we feel so lost, so weak and so miserable, there is always a way, and there is always a medicine… We just need to have faith that we are guided on this path.

With this New Moon I wish you to have faith in your personal Search journey. Because what you seek is seeking you. All the time. May it find you!

Full Moon tonight ✨🌕✨

Tonight’s Full Moon is shining in the deep waters of Scorpio (Sagittarius for the Western astrology followers), a mysterious and transformational quest of the heart. Scorpio is where Kundalini, our latent hidden power, resides. Once awakened, it activates not just the life force energy within our physical bodies but also our cosmic connection, enabling us to rise beyond our earthy experiences, and letting our Soul lead the way. Yet, this process can be extremely painful, intense and self-destructive for our human bodies and minds. The moon is considered to be debilitated in the sign of Scorpio, generating tensions in the mind and making us hesitant about the choices that we make.

This particular Full Moon is channeling the energies of Jyeshta nakshatra, also called the ‘elder star’ or the ‘eldest sister’, which has the power of courage, wisdom,leadership and protection. Tapping into this energy we can overcome the uncertainties, fears and doubts by calling in our ‘wiser’, ‘elder’, ‘superior’ version of ourselves, remembering our worth and true nature. Today you may also find yourself either seeking or giving an advice or guidance, and whether you are on the receiving or on the giving side, allow the wisdom to be channeled.

We are also just re-emerging after the peak conjunction point between Jupiter and Rahu, Guru Chandal yoga, the main event of the year… The energies remain disturbed, strange encounters taking place, transformational wheel of events fully on in swing, but now hopefully some higher wisdom can come through, and for some of us, light at the end of the tunnel.

Venus has just entered the waters of Cancer, joining the warrior Mars, who’s been debilitated for almost a month now, laying out there a little bit actionless, without a clear direction and fighting its own internal fights. The two will be coming closer in the coming weeks, likely co-creating some tensions in relationships, emotional and passionate encounters to keep us entertained.

Good luck in navigating these cosmic waters… This is a reminder for myself just as much, to have faith that everything oh everything is a beautifully orchestrated flow of life, with absolutely no mistakes!

New Moon Tomorrow/ Tonight 🌙

It’s been quite a time lately with the eclipses, Mercury retrograde and Guru Chandal energy being in full swing. The first New Moon after the eclipses opens up a new fresh page for all of us, yet the intensity continues with Rahu and Jupiter coming together for the main event of the year – Guru Chandal yoga in Aries, that is said to disrupt the systems, faith and initiate some explosive new beginnings at the personal and collective levels. Depending where this yoga is taking place in your chart, you shall feel it accordingly. The exact conjunction date between Jupiter and Rahu is on May 26th, however the yoga is already active since about a month. It can feel especially intense for all Vedic Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn Ascendants, but of course everyone will experience it in different ways.

Tonight’s New Moon is taking place in the sign of Ta**us (in both astrological systems for once), that to some extent feels more peaceful, grounded and restful after all the eclipses. The Moon is exalted in the lunar mansion of Krittika, that translates to ‘the one who cuts’ and is symbolized by a sharp razor. Krittika nakshatra has the power to cut through the darkness, illusions and confusion, illuminating the mind with the highest Truth. And so do not resist the revelations and the insights that may come to you on this New Moon. This is also a great time to take bold decisions, listen to your intuitive guidance and catch those opportunities coming your way!

The dark night before this New Moon is marked as Shani Jayanti, or the birthday of Lord Saturn, our greatest teacher through Pain, Patience and Service. Therefore, on the day before the New Moon, it is recommended to fast, meditate and offer seva or donations. May all that come along with deep gratitude and humbleness as we acknowledge the presence of Saturn in our lives.

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse 🌕🌚

Buddha Purnima/ Wesak 🧘🙏

A very spiritual Full Moon is approaching us tonight, on May 5th. This Full Moon will not only close the eclipse portal with a powerful Lunar Eclipse in the Vedic Libra (Western Scorpio), but it will also mark the birthday of Gautama Buddha.

The Moon tonight is being eclipsed by the mysterious shadow planet Ketu, representing the Past, Moksha and Detachment. Therefore, the final closures can feel particularly intense for some. This is a perfect day/ evening to meditate, reflect upon what is being left behind, and send gratitude to every person that has played a part in our growth journey. We are who we are only because of everything we have experienced in this and many lifetimes before.

This Full Moon is taking place in the lunar constellation of Vishaka, the star of Purpose. Vishaka translates to the ‘branched one’ and it represents the junction point between material and spiritual worlds. Eclipses tend to magnify the qualities of the lunar mansions and this time we might feel like we are presented with two paths to choose from. It may feel like a choice we have, just later on to understand that there has always been just ONE path. YOUR path. Vishaka, ruled by two deities, the mighty Indra and the purifying Agni, gives power of determination and focus. And so a little reminder to you to walk this path with courage, pride and not a single doubt! Everything you are doing, everything you choose, is part of your journey and there are NO WRONG CHOICES.

After this eclipse, we are still going to be in a powerful transformational cosmic vortex for pretty much the entire month of May. Mercury retrograde stirring up the waters until May 14th and Jupiter nearing its profound meeting with Rahu in Aries on May 26th is expected to bring major expansion in different areas of life, but also big challenges! If you are familiar with your Vedic birth chart, find which house is occupied by Aries to understand better which area is being set on fire for you.

For today, if you have been reading my posts in the past, you already know the drill for the eclipses – avoid the exposure during the eclipse (which means stay indoors if the eclipse is visible in your geographical location), utilize this time for a powerful meditation, mantra, prayer or any other spiritual practice of your choice, do NOT charge your crystals tonight and generally just take it very easy. It can feel emotionally intense as the mind is going through a deep churning process. Allow and observe. Remember - you are NOT your mind.

New Moon Solar Eclipse 🌙⚫☀️

Time to write a new book.

We are at the doorstep of a whole new era.

Tomorrow we will be witnessing the energy of the first eclipse of the year. A rare one - a hybrid solar eclipse that combines a total, annular and partial eclipse into one which happens just a few times in a century. Although it is not visible in most parts of the world, the effect of the eclipse will be felt at the personal and collective levels. We are also entering the two-weeks intensive portal in between the two eclipses - a time of possibilities, unexpected events, changes and final closures. Nothing to be feared, but to be observed and surrendered.

This New Moon and Solar Eclipse are taking place in the sign of Aries (in both, Vedic and Western astrological systems) – the first sign of the zodiac representing new beginnings, new energy, ambition, action, bravery, and being ready to conquer the world! We have Sun, Moon, Rahu, Mercury and Uranus all meeting in the sign of Aries, so the air is charged with C H A N G E. And tension. And uncertainty. Probably fear too. But hey, it’s time to ride those cosmic waves and embrace the call of the Universe! You are being led and guided by greater power than your Mind, your Ego or your Emotions. T R U S T!

When the New Moon comes along with an eclipse, we do not regard it as a regular New Moon and usually avoid setting intentions or starting something new on that day. Instead this is the most powerful time to do spiritual work (any practice that you resonate with will reap amplified effects as the energetic field on Earth becomes like a quantum leap vortex during the time of the eclipse).

Besides the eclipse, we have many more cosmic events in the air! At this very moment, Jupiter is crossing murky karmic Gandanta waters (at the very end of Pisces) moving into the Fire element of Aries the next day after the eclipse (April 21). The Guru planet is said to be lost between the worlds, unable to guide us in the coming few days (or even weeks), making this eclipse energy extra dark. Mercury too, is about to turn retrograde on the same day (April 21)! Wow, what a tricky time… You may wanna run, but the lights are out!

Yet, not all is bad, and nothing is bad at all! The special date of Akshaya Tritiya is also right around the corner – April 22 is the day when both luminaries, Sun and Moon, are exalted, which happens only once a year. This is said to be the most auspicious day to do something special, something big and intentional, wheeling for a long term success. This day, make it special!

What a time to be ALIGNED! I wish you that!

BIG TIMES AHEAD ⚡

Full Moon tonight 🌕

Although the actual Full Moon falls tomorrow, tonight is the night to witness the waxing phase of the Full Moon when the energies are at the highest peak. So tonight is a great time to do all your Full Moon rituals and embrace your manifestation powers.

This Full Moon is taking place in the Vedic sign of Virgo (Western Libra), in the constellation of Hasta. All the yogis in da house would know that Hasta means ‘hand’ and so this particular Full Moon carries the extra potent energy of Manifestation! This particular constellation is charged with the superpowers of healing, magic and individual effort, yes that hard work and dedication that we need to do sometimes! It reminds us that our destiny lies in our own hands and that we are just as responsible for our lives as the planets are! We are the Creators as much as the Creations. It’s always a 50/50 effort between us and God, so do your part, my friend! Those who have activated Hasta in their charts will have abilities to use their hands in the extraordinary ways that could be healing, channeling, light language and a magic of touch.

This Full Moon also gives us an opportunity to enjoy the last bits of the peace before the storm as in two weeks, on April 20, we will welcome the first Eclipse of the year. This means that after this Full Moon the Eclipse season is officially ON. And not just that… As I mentioned yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, put your seatbelts on as we are in for quite a ride for the next 2 months or so.

April and May are two most important months of this year, with the explosive activation of the sign of Aries and the element of Fire. Well, it’s already been quite an active area in the last one year with Rahu shape-shifting the revolutionary energies in Aries, but now on April 21 Jupiter will arrive there too. Jupiter will be completing its 12 year cycle and starting a whole new era of growth, and when moving from Pisces to Aries through Gandanta, Jupiter can bring a lot of turbulence as our great planet of wisdom is being reborn just as much! Big endings in sight.

And then for the months to come Aries will be hosting two major amplifiers at the same time – Rahu, the troublemaker with an extra boost of Ego, and Jupiter, the planet of Greatness! This means that wherever Aries is placed in your chart, that area will be witnessing a major expansive energy, which, let’s be mindful, can get out of control BIG TIME. This is going to be a strong energetic field filled with BIG opportunities for some and failures for others. Let’s remember to stay humble and real. I’ll be talking much more about it in the month of May when the actual Jupiter Rahu conjunction will be taking place.

As we are getting ready to step into this Cosmic portal fueled by the Eclipses, it is important to remember not to resist the Change that is on its way. Observe the events, situations and people that enter your life in the coming month as this time is shaping your future like never before.

This is also an extremely potent month to initiate something important, especially on April 22, the auspicious Akshaya Tritiya – mark your calendar with this date and do something GOOD this day!

Are you feeling it in the air?

This is the time we all have been waiting for, pretty much since January 1, when the world always tends to fool us that it is a New Year. But the New Year, the astrological New Year is today. Today is the day when the Earth completes one full rotation around the Sun, today is the day when the Sun starts giving full power to the Earth, today is the day when the entire Universe gives us permission to grow, bloom and expand, because it’s officially Spring on Earth!

And this year everything aligns so perfectly as the New Moon is taking place right on the same day as the Spring Equinox, followed by the Vedic New Year. And so here we are welcoming the New Era and the New Life!

If you, like me, have been going through death-like situations in the last couple of weeks, give yourself a permission to come back now… There is always a need for something or someone to die first, in order for the Rebirth to take place. I know it’s been some crazy, strange, deep, dark, intense times, wow… But here you are, alive and kicking, my friend! And new life is right here in front of you!

This New Moon is taking place in the Vedic sign of watery Pisces (Western Aries), at the very end (and at the very beginning) of the Zodiac, inviting us to close the year on a much needed healing note. The lunar constellation where this New Moon is residing is Uttara Bhadrapada, ruled by the serpent of the cosmic waters, signified by the death and transformation... No wonder we are in so much depth, and so much darkness. Like seeds. That’s what we are!

The best thing to do today and tomorrow is planting something or maybe burying, because apparently that's one and the same… Seeds, trees, intentions, shed skin and parts of you that have died in the process. Because yes, something beautiful will grow out of it, I promise you! This is a profound time to release and step into a more full, aligned and authentic version of yourself.

Tomorrow’s Full Moon is a special one and the most colourful, at least here in Mother India, as this Full Moon brings Holi celebrations the day after on March 8th.

Holi celebrates the arrival of Spring and traditionally it is an invocation of a harvesting season, celebrated with colours, flowers, dancing, playing and joyfulness in the air.

This Full Moon takes place in the Vedic sign of Leo (Western Virgo), in the lunar constellation of Purva Phalguni, the Star of Fortune, ruled by Venus. This is a beautiful place for the Moon to be in as it brings powers of creation, playfulness and granting the material desires. With super strong Jupiter, Venus and Saturn, this Full Moon has a great potential to help us manifest.

Let’s keep in mind that this is a very special time that will not last for long as changes are just around the corner… From March 11th onwards the energies will be shifting completely, with Venus, Mars and shortly after, the Sun and Mercury shifting the signs. Also after this April, Saturn and Jupiter being in their own signs at the same time will not happen for a very long time. So yes, RIGHT NOW is a great and very supportive time to harness your dreams, your projects and your love matters if that is applicable for you.

With all the changes underway, you may feel a little unsettled and blindsided as you are not sure where you are going. Yet, remember that you are always guided, always protected, and that there is a thrill in encountering the Unknown. We’ve all been there before, and we all turned out just fine.

While the Full Moon is tomorrow, if you want to catch the Moon in its fullest waxing phase, tonight is the night to bathe in the Moonshine and do your rituals as the energy is still growing, while tomorrow night the Moon will be already on the waning side.

Jupiter Venus kiss 💋

Since Valentine's day we are continuing to witness the special cosmic union between the two Gurus – Jupiter, the Guru of Gods, and Venus, the Guru of Love (also called Guru of Demons). And since yesterday, we can see Jupiter and Venus coming so close together in the evening sky that it looks like the two are about to kiss! If you missed it yesterday, you still can witness this magical cosmic event tonight and tomorrow.

Why is it so special?

Well, we ALL love Jupiter and Venus! And normally Jupiter and Venus have a conjunction once a year, but this time since the two of them are meeting in the sidereal Pisces is extra special! Jupiter, being the ruler of Pisces, and Venus getting exalted there forms a particular combination that is especially magical and happening only once in 12 years when the two Gurus are bestowing their super powers upon us!

Jupiter is known for its expansive qualities – generosity, abundance, higher wisdom, spirituality and greatness in its true essence. People with strong Jupiter will be some of the greatest leaders, spiritual guides and teachers, highly respected and adored by their genuine wisdom and generous heart. Jupiter also signifies ‘husband’ in a woman’s chart and so you can learn more about the qualities and role of your partner by simply studying Jupiter in your chart.

Venus is known for its love matters, but it is so much more than that! Yes, Venus is a planet of relationships, pleasures, sexual encounters and the heart's desires, but it is also a planet of creativity and (pro-) creation – remember we create by giving birth to children, but we also create everything else in our lives! Venus is also a planet of luxuries, material comforts and finer things in life. It’s a planet of artists, influencers & courtesans. People with strong Venus will be naturally beautiful, artistic, playful and seductive. Venus, apart from ‘marriage’, also signifies ‘wife’ in a man’s chart.

And so, here we are witnessing the two great benefic planets dancing together in the sky! This time, not only today, but the entire month is a special month that can bring magical encounters, fated meetings and soul connections.
