Maya heritage is one of the most powerful parts of our Mexico travel-retreat.

During the journey, we visit three iconic archaeological sites of the Yucatán Peninsula: Chichén Itzá, Cobá, and Tulum — each offering a completely different way to experience the history, architecture, and spirit of the ancient Maya world.

Chichén Itzá is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Mexico — monumental, impressive, and full of symbolism.

Cobá feels more hidden and wild, surrounded by jungle, with ancient paths and a deeper sense of mystery.

Tulum is where history meets the Caribbean Sea: Maya ruins standing on cliffs above turquoise water, creating one of the most unforgettable views in the region.

For us, these visits are not just about “seeing pyramids.”
They are about slowing down, listening, learning, and connecting with the land beyond the usual tourist route.

This is what Be Global travel-retreats are about: thoughtful routes, meaningful places, cultural depth, and a more conscious way to experience Mexico.

If you would like to join our upcoming Mexico travel-retreat, DM us “MEXICO” - we will be happy to share the details 🤍

Mexico is not “perfect beach weather” all year.

Seasonality here is real
👉🏻 and it can make or break your trip.

If you’re planning Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, or the Riviera Maya, swipe through this carousel before you book.

We broke down the best months for beaches, sargassum season, humidity, hurricane season, Christmas crowds, and when Mexico feels quieter and easier.

Save this for your Mexico trip
or send it to a friend who’s dreaming about a vacation in Mexico.

🌴 DM “Mexico” if you want to join our travel retreat or are thinking about relocating.

One of the things we love most about Mexico is how close nature feels here.
Some of these animals you can meet completely unexpectedly — just during everyday life or while exploring the jungle.

Which one would you be most excited to see in real life? 🦩🐒🦜

And tell us honestly…
which one would you absolutely NOT want to run into? 😅

Mexico is so much more than beaches and resorts 🤍

Be Global is not spiritual tourism.
It’s a space for real, conscious experiences.

During our travel retreats in Mexico, we invite our guests deep into the jungle to meet a true temazcalero — someone who carries this tradition not as a performance, but as a way of life passed down through generations.

Sadi, the temazcalero we work with, was taught by his grandmother.

Traditionally, the temazcal ceremony unfolds through four rounds.
Throughout the ritual, the temazcalero sings, plays music, and offers prayers to the four elements — earth, water, fire, and air.

The ceremony itself takes place in complete darkness.
Inside the temazcal, the only light comes from volcanic stones heated in the fire.

During the ceremony, the maestro pours herbal water over the stones, filling the space with steam and the deep aroma of cleansing plants.
It becomes something between ritual, silence, heat, breathwork, and pure presence.

And even if you don’t believe in these traditions, even if you feel far from anything “shamanic,” this experience rarely leaves people untouched.

Maybe because for a moment, stripped of distractions, heat opens something in you that everyday life keeps buried.

And maybe afterward, you’ll feel a little like you’ve been born again.

If this is something you’d like to experience, send us a DM with the word “Mexico.”
We’ll share how you can join us — especially considering that applications for our English-speaking groups in 2026 are already closed 🙏🏼

Flying to Cancun, Mexico? This will make your arrival so much easier ✈️

We created this guide not only for our Be Global travelers, but for anyone landing at Cancun International Airport
because this is one of those places where small details really matter.

We see the same challenges again and again:
confusing exits, unclear signs, unstable Wi-Fi, unexpected baggage checks, and people approaching you right outside the airport.

So we’ve put together the most important Cancun airport travel tips - simple, practical, and based on real experience:

• what that immigration receipt is (and why you must keep it)
• why baggage checks can happen even after customs
• how to avoid overpriced taxis and random “helpers”
• where you actually need to go after arrival
• and why having internet matters more than you think

If you’re traveling to Mexico (especially for the first time) this will save you time, money, and unnecessary stress.

📌 Save this post before your trip.

And if you’re traveling with Be Global — everything becomes even easier.
We meet you at the airport, guide you step by step, and make sure your journey starts smoothly and safely 🤍

For our travel retreat guests in Playa del Carmen, we arrange airport pickup not only from Cancun, but also from Tulum International Airport - depending on your flight.
Airport transfer is always included, so you don’t have to worry about logistics at all.

We don’t just organize travel retreats -
we take care of the experience from the very first moment you arrive 🤍

▫️People are often afraid to travel to Mexico because they think it’s unsafe.
And to some extent — that’s true.

There are regions with cartel-related issues.
But if you look at the country as a whole, there are far more places that are calm, safe, and comfortable than people expect.
And it’s not just the popular tourist areas.

▫️In many parts of Mexico, life can feel poor or uncomfortable by modern standards.
Sometimes it genuinely shocks travelers.

But part of what we label as “poverty” is simply a different way of living — a culture that has been preserved for generations.

And at the same time, there are areas where the quality of life is higher than in parts of Europe.
With prices to match.

▫️A lot of people think traveling or relocating with kids here is difficult.

In reality, Mexico is one of the most kid-friendly countries I’ve experienced.
Kids are welcomed everywhere, given space, and people are naturally warm and helpful.

▫️Public services can be inconsistent — that’s true.

But private clinics and schools are often at a very high level.
Modern equipment, English-speaking professionals,
and prices that are significantly lower than in the US.

▫️Mexico = bureaucracy.
Things don’t always work the way you expect.

Without understanding how the system works, you can easily lose time, money, and energy.

And yes — there are plenty of people who promise to “get you a passport in two weeks,” take your money, and disappear.
So it’s always better to work with trusted professionals and avoid gray areas.

🇲🇽 Mexico isn’t a perfect country.
But it’s definitely not what most people imagine from the outside.

Most people don’t change after traveling.

Same thoughts.
Same patterns.
Same life — just with new photos.
Because it’s just a change of scenery.

You can fly somewhere every year,
stay in the same kind of hotels,
eat the same food,
be around the same people —
and see the world through a cocktail by the pool.

And that’s fine.
But it has nothing to do with transformation.

Travel only starts to change something
the moment you step outside of what’s familiar.

Be Global is a format where you have space to slow down (yoga, meditation, stillness)

and at the same time actually meet a place for what it is:
through the people,
the culture,
the traditions,
and real everyday life.

Not through a tourist version of it.
Because that’s where
something real actually begins.

19/04/2026

We think we’ll have time.
We think we’ll do it “someday.”
But life doesn’t always circle back the way we expect.

If something calls you — a place, an experience, a feeling —
that’s your moment.

Because sometimes the opportunity doesn’t come twice.
